It’s becoming routine: Tucker Carlson is apoplectic at talk of using military force to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program. Unable to conceal his animus, his June 4 X.com hyperventilation is a result. He hopefully feels better for the effort.
This time it’s because Mark Levin visited Trump, advocating bold action against Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Carlson seems particularly incensed that two Jews, Levin and Steve Witkoff (whom Carlson describes as a “Long Island native”), advise Trump. Is “Long Island” an antisemitic dog whistle? San Francisco native Carlson referenced Levin six times, emphasizing his loathing.
Carlson uses argument ad hominem and conjures imaginary strawmen, which are easily refuted. Examples include:
“In fact, there is zero credible intelligence that suggests Iran is anywhere near building a bomb, or has plans to. None. Anyone who claims otherwise is ignorant or dishonest.” Iran has enriched uranium to 60%, one step below weapons grade. Those who aren’t “ignorant or dishonest“ provide “credible intelligence” Iran has long cheated on international scrutiny (which is largely a joke). “In fact” signals incoming fabrications, as when pre-2020 Biden habitually declared “no joke,” “seriously folks,” “I'm not exaggerating,” or “I swear on my honor as a Biden.”
“Iran … has a fearsome arsenal of ballistic missiles, many of which are aimed at US military installations in the Gulf, as well as at our allies and at critical energy infrastructure. The first week of a war with Iran could easily kill thousands of Americans. It could also collapse our economy.”

He seems to be in Iran’s pocket; the question as to why is not obvious.
Obama threatened to “shoot Israeli planes from the sky” if they hit Iran’s nuclear program. Why is the US doing this? Why not let Israel and the other allies in the region take care of this mess?
I think - like many in our media and government - he is in Qatar's pocket, and Qatar's interest is in avoiding any backlash from an attack on its neighbor.
Let’s not forget the big lie that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, which got us into a war that lasted for many years.
It’s really simple to understand why any patriotic American would be opposed to military action on the other side of the world to further the interests of a foreign state.
How would he know?
<< I think - like many in our media and government - he is in Qatar’s pocket >>
Probably. But he’s always been reflexively anti-Israel, so this all aligns with his natural sentiments.
You sure favor this sort of thing
Iran has been “ only weeks away “ from having nuclear missiles for at least the last 20 years.
Mark Levin is a dyed-in-the-wool neo-con.
If the WSJ ever runs out of Neo-Cons to write for them, they should contact you.
Can’t say I’m a Joe Rogan fan because I’ve never watched or listened to his podcast nor am I a UFC fan.
But Tucker is no Joe Rogan.
Tucker carries too much political baggage picked up at so many varied career stops.
From what little I do know of Rogan, he comes from a place of growth.
The fact that he started with Bernie and evolved to Trump is actually a plus for me.
He was natural liberal Democrat looking for an outsider and chose Bernie.
Then he came to realize the ONLY true outsider on the stage was Trump.
Tucker is just not a natural to the populism of the America First movement.
Tucker sometimes takes contrarian positions for no explainable and good reason.
This appears to be one of those times.
Many Americans are tired of the USA's lips being sewn to Israel's ass - paying all their war bills and inheriting all their enemies.
We're not in anyone's "pocket," unless you're some accusatory clown who just makes s**t up.
Just let Israel take out their nuclear facilities. It’s going to happen anyway. God said so.
God blesses those who bless Israel. That’s all I need to know.
He seems to be not in Israel’s pocket, and some find that deeply unsatisfactory.
I’ve been back and forth on the Israel situation. Yes, they absolutely do have a right to defend themselves against any and all aggression. But I’m far from convinced that it serves our best interest to attack Iran. I fell for that trick during the run-up to the Iraq war.
Let’s face it — Israel is a foreign state and they look out for themselves first. If seeing America destroyed would guarantee Israel’s safety, I have no doubt that they would be ok with that. We are utility friends at best.
Israel? I’ve read the Bible. I know who Israel is. He’s a person. Not a creature of the united nations.
“”He seems to be not in Israel’s pocket, and some find that deeply unsatisfactory.””
Yeah, it’d be much better if he were in Russia’s pocket... and, like Russia, against targeting Iran over their nuclear ambitions.
“Tucker Carlson: Moscow ‘so much nicer than any city in my country’
Pundit Tucker Carlson called Moscow “nicer” than any city in the United States and praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s governing of the massive world superpower.”
