I can see longing for the old NYC.
I was lucky enough to live in downtown Manhattan during the golden age of the mid to late 1990s. You really could walk almost anywhere and feel safe. And you’d look around and the city was being rebuilt. The subway was safe and vibrant. Now, not so much anymore.

They should maybe consider electing democrats to clean the place up and make it utopia on earth!

Given my stress levels just driving my kid to his Med school in the Bronx, what “quality of life” is there for anyone who actually lives there? I don’t get it.

Nobody should be talking about pre-‘pandemic”.. there was no pandemic -it was fake. It was every bit as fake as the J6 “insurrection”, or the Biden “presidency”. Anyone who refers to those fed operations as if they were real - they are brainwashed.
If you want to talk about something, talk about pre-stupid-Democrat-lockdown, or pre-deep-state-stolen-election, or pre-Fedsurrection, or pre-Crossfire-Hurricane. Because those things really happened.
Last time I was in NY City, a year ago, it noticed a lot of deterioration, trash, homeless, menacing foreign men hanging around everywhere, filthy subways.
New Yorkers will continue to believe what they like. They are rivalled by the snobs on the West Coast. I will continue to avoid all like the bile plague they are.
