I was lucky enough to live in downtown Manhattan during the golden age of the mid to late 1990s. You really could walk almost anywhere and feel safe. And you’d look around and the city was being rebuilt. The subway was safe and vibrant. Now, not so much anymore.

Dito, was there late 90s too, I sure miss old SOHO and Hells Kitchen. It got nice again just before the pandemic was there (Tribeca) for 6 months in 2018 and 4 more in 2019 (Bushwick). Mayor Adams has royally F’d up that great city.
