United States President Donald Trump commented on Friday that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, are both "stubborn."
"I have known [Putin] very well. I have gone through a lot of things with him ... [But] I have gotten to see things that I was very surprised at: rockets being shot into cities like Kiev, during a negotiation that I felt was maybe very close to ending. We were gonna solve a problem, and then, all of a sudden, rockets got shot into a couple of cities," the US head of state said during a press conference.
Trump stressed that he was very disappointed with such developments, reiterating that he wants the war to stop.

Yep, many forget that Russia was on Germany’s side to begin with! Down the rabbit hole with that one.
Can’t argue with people who read the Brit tabloids.
Things are the way they are because the weaker party, Ukraine, wants them this way. Leave them to it.
Putin and Trump are alike, strong leaders who do what they say, keeping their country first.
The corrupted grifter Zelensky is depraved and doesn’t come close to the two….but he does play the piano with his penis rather well, as we all saw.
“but he does play the piano with his penis rather well, as we all saw.”
So. He has that going for him. Which is Nice :)
Wow-
The optics on that one are just wrong.
That is very true of Zelensky.
No, he's tyrant that promised peace and went on persecute, kill and try to drive those the resisted the illegally formed Ukrainian government from their homeland.
The Russians didn't start WWI nor WWII.
But today the Russians are once again at fault for everything, even HRC losing the elections, Hunter watching and saving kiddie porn on his laptop...
What's funny is how we for years, even now, have China as major trade partner, set them up in the WTO, and ignore the fact that this nation has a single party communist regime, oppresses Christians, has over a million Muslims in internment camps, had forced abortions, makes dissidents disappear, conducts mass censorship, tortures people, executes more than anyone else, invaded Tibet and continues to occupy them, threatens to invade Taiwan...
In fact, China posses a far larger national security risk to us than Russia. Russia avoids confrontation with us (they know they are the underdog), it's us doing the pushing. It's China which sees itself as a peer and wants to topple us from the thrown, which has the economic volume, tech, military man power, industry... BUT, China as a high economic value to us.
“Who invaded Poland in 1939?”
The Nazis invaded Poland 16 days before Russia entered the country.
Kind of, is along the line of should of, could of , would of.
Despite Trump’s long history as a registered democrat, I voted for him all three times.
Now more than ever, I wonder if he attended any classes at the Wharton School of Business as claimed?
Weakness attracts aggression.
Now, Trump is pushing us to the precipice.
Worse, the Big Beautiful Bill increases our debt. Peace through strength is expensive. The gold dome is pie in the sky.
Some TACOs can be poisonous.
For a needed peace dividend, Russia must be pushed aside, slowing China.
That said, the tariff fiasco has driven off other nations with some common interests.
“No nation has friends only interests.”
Charles de Gaulle
😂😂🤣
you are earning every penny that Putin is paying you to spew the Russian propaganda.
I agree.
China is the big winner in all of this.
China worries me.
We bad mouth the Russians now, but they are measured, predicable, stable and not suicidal.
In fact, they are more predicable, measured and stable than we are. Our high turnover in government and our bureaucracy make us change directions often and break promises made (we don’t honor the debts or promises of a predecessor).
The Russians are racially majority Caucasian, ethnically Slavic, have a Euro (Western philosophy dominates) and Christian (Eastern Orthodox) world view. If you really want to piss some of the folks off (but it’s true), tell them that the Russians and Ukrainians are essentially the same people (Rus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rus%27_people), Slavic, Eastern Orthodox, etc.
Art is telling about the values of a society and when you look at Russia, you see the same themes, the same styles and techniques, the same ideas expressed in their art as in the rest of the West, minus the LGBTQIA junk today. From their music, paintings, movies, architecture, sculpture, plays, books, it’s a Euro/Christian culture.
Russia is merely trying to hold onto their empire which we are trying to strip away from them piece by piece.
May that be their economically valuable satellite states and oil producers like Venezuela, Syria, Libya and Iraq; or economically valuable border and buffer states, major trade partners for Russia like Ukraine, Rep. Georgia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia (before we stripped them away). Russia is weak, we are strong, and we want what what they have. The rest is us rationalizing and trying to pretend like we have a moral calling in what we are doing.
China is a different scenario.
You make no argument.
But there is irony in what you say.
The West mass censors today. We block 40+ Russian media outlets, most of Russia’s government websites, some of their social media. Unless you actively try to get around our censorship, you’ll only get what our government wants you to see.
At the same-time, starting 2013 under Obama, we opened the door for mass government propagandizing of our own people with the modernization of the Smith-Mundt Act: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith%E2%80%93Mundt_Act
Yet people like you like to talk about “propaganda.”
Regards Ukraine: Do you think (((maybe))) there is a reason why cheesy stories like the Ghost of Kiev (remember that one? LOL); Stories about girls 9 years old, sucking a lollipop, with blue and yellow ribbons in their hair, holding a rifle; glorious Ukrainian counter offensives in 2023; fighting to the last man on Snake Island; How the delivery of some new Western wonder weapon will turn the tide around for Ukraine; How Nazi’s aren’t so bad after all; How all Ukrainians want to fight for Ukraine to the last man... dominates our media?
Regards Russia: Do you think (((maybe))) there is a reason why all stories about Russia have Putin being ill or mentally deranged (funny given how we were led by Biden); How all their soldiers are stumble bums and clueless, dying in huge numbers; How Russia’s economy is imploding because of our awesomely effective sanctions; How the entire world agrees with us and stands against Russia... dominates our media?
You might want to ask yourself who is drinking the Kool-Aid.
The only people being paid are Zeepers.
“The Nazis invaded Poland 16 days before Russia entered the country.”
Let’s not forget who is still holding onto land stolen from Poland then. Ukraine still has the Lwów district, Northern Bukovina stolen from Romania, and Trans-Carpathia stolem from Hungary. They’re quite silent about those lands when they bleat about the Crimea.
