Eighteen people were injured, four critically, in a knife attack Friday in the German city of Hamburg, authorities said.
Hamburg police said they have arrested a 39-year-old German woman, who they believe acted alone in carrying out the attack at the city’s Central Station, after a major police operation. She is in police custody and expected to be brought to a court on Saturday, police said.
Seven people were “badly injured,” while seven others were “lightly injured,” police said. The victims are aged between 19 and 85 years old.
The four critically injured, who include a 24-year-old female, 24-year-old male, 52-year-old female and 85-year-old female, are in a stabilized condition, police said in an update on Saturday.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing. Police said there was “concrete” evidence that the suspect suffers from a mental illness.
In a statement late on Friday, Hamburg police said the attacker had acted “apparently indiscriminately, stabbed passersby, injuring some of them critically.”

Following the attack, Germany’s Friedrich Merz thanked the city’s emergency responders for their assistance and said that his “thoughts are with the victims and their families,” according to federal government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius.
Federal Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt also said his thoughts were with the victims and thanked the emergency services. “It is shocking when travelers are attacked in a treacherous and cowardly manner,” Dobrindt said.

Info on the episode:
1. The 39-year-old German gal is ‘known’ to the police (detained several times since 2021). Homeless...street person. She was arrested in Feb at the Hamburg airport for roughing up some 6-year old kid. Sent at that point to a mental clinic....where a month later...she assaulted one of the patients there. Day prior to attack...she was released by the clinic.
2. From those injured/wounded at the station (track 13...I was actually there four weeks ago)...at least four were treated from falling on the ground or panic-attack related.
3. The two folks who finally grabbed her and held till the police arrived? A young Syrian guy and a older Chechnyan guy.
4. Medical condition of the gal? Paranoid schizophrenic (to the extreme). If you walk out of the east end of the station...about 3 minutes walking...that’s the main drug scene for Hamburg, and it wouldn’t surprise me if she was self-medicating.
5. As for charges? German judges usually slap a 30-day review at a mental clinic, and then write a life-time stay at mental clinic. How she got out from the Feb incident? Unknown.
Final word...the Hamburg station is one of the most chaotic stations in Germany, and at any point around 5PM...there’s probably 20,000 folks trying to move from the subway/bus-lines to the tracks, or stopping to eat at one of the forty-odd pubs/restaurants.

All western nations are in the same boat on this issue. Globalism, the secular society driven by pure greed met a challenge when trying to accommodate Islam which is about is exclusive, intolerant unchanging and willing to resort to violence as it comes.

While our country has a First Amendment and all of the rights that come with it, other countries have a ZERO tolerance and can administer punishment on the spot. and they can and will and you have ZERO say.
The mentally ill, druggies, homeless, criminals, illegals here on our streets - we need to have a way to deal with them. Lock them up, hard labor, ship them to El Salvador or Nigeria. I really don’t care. I am just tired of having to change my life and way of living to accommodate them and to avoid them and their sloth, violence and begging.
