Today we held several meetings with the team regarding the format in Türkiye. I am waiting to see who will come from Russia, and then I will decide which steps Ukraine should take. So far, the signals from them in the media are unconvincing.
We also hear that President Trump is considering attending the meeting in Türkiye. That could become the strongest argument. This week really may change a lot — but only may. Everything is being decided right now.
Russia is only prolonging the war and the killings. I want to thank every country, every leader who is now putting pressure on Russia, so that the shelling finally stops, so that meaningful negotiations can take place at a level where real decisions can be made. To everyone helping peace and diplomacy — thank you.

He's making Putin look obstinate. Putin needs to wake up and come to the table not necessarily in person but he needs to show the world and Trump that he is serious,.

Perhaps with Westerners, due to their propaganda machine (the media), but then Putin no longer cares what the West thinks, he cares what the 80% of the world thinks, and he’s looked at in a completely different way - as shown by the world leaders of the major countries who fly to Russia on a regular basis for events, the latest being their Victory Day celebrations in Moscow last week.

Putin’s engaged - he sent his #2 Defense Minister there with a team of others. Let’s see if the Ukrainians sit down and talk with them.
As to Putin himself, he’s never been known to fly around the world for photo ops. Like all other major leaders, he flies to countries to sign agreements. Look at Trump today, he’s in Cutter, signing very significant agreements - the work involved in developing those agreements was done by lower-level Americans meeting with Cutterites, or whatever they are called.
The Brits call it a torch, Americans call it a flashlight. Ukrainians call it Kyiv, Americans call it Kiev. Italians call it Italia, Americans call it Italy. Turks call it Turkiye, Americans call it Turkey. Addressing your international audience?
The sooner the Z man steps down ,the quicker peace can be achieved.
