Argentina's Supreme Court has found dozens of boxes filled with Nazi material among its archives in its basement.

The 83 boxes hold documents including postcards, photographs and notebooks, as well as propaganda material, the court said on Sunday.

Court employees discovered the material by chance while preparing for the creation of a museum.

"Upon opening one of the boxes, we identified material intended to consolidate and propagate Adolf Hitler's ideology in Argentina during the Second World War," the court said.

The court has invited Argentina's Holocaust Museum to help document and preserve the materials.

Experts will also examine them for any clues that can "shed light on still-unknown aspects" of the Holocaust, such as international financing networks used by the Nazis, the court said

“what do you think the Soviets had planned for the Germans and Western Europe?”

the Soviets would have done what they did in the parts of Europe they occupied. Plan Ost called for Germanizing one third of the population, starving another third, and enslaving the rest. Stalin didn’t do anything near to that.

Completely acceptable though because they were not Human Beings and we know two wrongs always make a right and of course they deserved it...

If you win you get to write the history.

Virtue signaling is a luxury for the victorious.

Before the fact or after the fact equal immorality is never morally justified.

Well, here we are. This is sick. Posters on this forum trying to excuse the Nazis because we did bad stuff too. This deliberately starving POWs story is debatable.

“Posters on this forum trying to excuse the Nazis because we did bad stuff too. This deliberately starving POWs story is debatable.”

There is absolutely no excuse for what the Nazis did period. But in turn there is no excuse for what we did either. Like kind evil is like kind evil and it cannot be excused just because of the source. there is no such thing as righteous evil.

And no, it is not debatable... We did it and it is factual history like it or not. The evil was the relabeling of these prisoners so that we did not have to treat and care for them properly as POWs based on the Geneva Convention. Pure evil...

“The camps were beyond overcrowded. Prisoners mostly slept without shelter, exposed to the elements. Rations were generally between 1000 and 1550 calories per day. There was often little or no access to clean drinking water. Thousands died. How many thousands depends on who you ask. Regardless, given the facts, these camps did not hold up to the conditions mandated by the Geneva Convention.

This issue was circumnavigated, however, by a decision made in 1943 to declare German soldiers taken prisoner not as POWs, but as Disarmed Enemy Forces (DEF). With this characterization in place, things like lower rations and poor living conditions were inflicted without officially breaking what amounted to a binding international treaty.”

Eff off. You are trying to excuse the Nazis. There is no comparison between us and them. They did it on purpose. This claim that we purposely starved POWs is a lie.

I am highly skeptical of the claim that the Americans allowed the starvation of hundreds of thousands of German soldiers. There were too many soldiers who would have complained about the deliberate starvation. At the time, there was a vigorous conservative press, such as the McCormick and Hearst newspaper chains, that would have jumped on any attempt by the Truman Administration to kill German soldiers with starvation and exposure. There were those who proposed the entire destruction of German industry, as in the Morgenthau Plan. However, there were numerous influential people in America, such as George Marshall and Herbert Hoover, who were opposed to the Morgenthau Plan, and it was never implemented, although the Soviets and to a lesser extent the French did take numerous factories. The United States initiated the Marshall Plan to restore West Germany to economic health.

“the Soviets and to a lesser extent the French did take numerous factories.”

That’s an understatement. By some of the eyewitness accounts, the Soviets stripped Germany of everything that wasn’t nailed down, and much that was. They even stripped the plumbing out of houses.

It is right there in the history books. And that article is actually making an effort to excuse us for what we did if you actually read it.

Once again, I am not excusing anyone period. But two wrongs never make a right. And no, we are not perfect righteous angels who never do anything wrong. We do not have immunity from immorality. They did it on purpose and we in turn did this on purpose. NEITHER one was right.

This “We are always right and NEVER wrong” is self righteous radical extremism. And radical extremism is the root of all evil in the world. All of it... This is exactly what Hitler claimed too and it was also rooted in the very same radical extremism...

Instead of denying reality we should learn from it and adjust our own actions accordingly towards true and honestly earned righteousness. Denying real factual mistakes made will never get us there...

I don't think the British and American forces were entirely clean but in comparison to the Soviets, they were saints. The stories about mass starvation in U.S. run camps for German POWs tend to take the focus away from the mass looting and millions of rapes committed by the Communists. Additionally, over 11 million ethnic Germans were expelled from Poland and Czechoslovakia by the Communist governments imposed on those countries by Stalin. Over a million of the expelled people died, an expulsion that make our Trail of Tears look like a Sunday school picnic.

There was a parallel existence of ethic German Nazis all over South America during the rise of nazism

They comingled and I think 100s or 1000s left Germany 39-45 for there as well including some high ranking like eichman

My question is, why wasn’t this uncovered in 1945-47? There was a vigorous conservative press in those days, such as the Hearst and McCormick papers. There were influential people, such as George Marshall and Herbert Hoover, who stopped the Morgenthau Plan, that would have protested loudly had there been a visible plot to kill German POWs by starvation and exposure. Additionally, numerous GIs on the ground would have testified on such a plot. A huge number of the American military were of German ancestry; German-Americans outnumber Americans of British or Irish descent. Would they not have protested a mass murder plan against their kinsmen?

But regardless it still indeed happen. Because they were treated even worse by the Communists does not negate the fact that it happened.

Same reason we do not get the truth about anything now. The press is controlled, opposition is extorted into silence, and witness sources are discredited and destroyed. Nothing has changed and we see it daily.
