Eff off. You are trying to excuse the Nazis. There is no comparison between us and them. They did it on purpose. This claim that we purposely starved POWs is a lie.

I am highly skeptical of the claim that the Americans allowed the starvation of hundreds of thousands of German soldiers. There were too many soldiers who would have complained about the deliberate starvation. At the time, there was a vigorous conservative press, such as the McCormick and Hearst newspaper chains, that would have jumped on any attempt by the Truman Administration to kill German soldiers with starvation and exposure. There were those who proposed the entire destruction of German industry, as in the Morgenthau Plan. However, there were numerous influential people in America, such as George Marshall and Herbert Hoover, who were opposed to the Morgenthau Plan, and it was never implemented, although the Soviets and to a lesser extent the French did take numerous factories. The United States initiated the Marshall Plan to restore West Germany to economic health.

It is right there in the history books. And that article is actually making an effort to excuse us for what we did if you actually read it.

Once again, I am not excusing anyone period. But two wrongs never make a right. And no, we are not perfect righteous angels who never do anything wrong. We do not have immunity from immorality. They did it on purpose and we in turn did this on purpose. NEITHER one was right.

This “We are always right and NEVER wrong” is self righteous radical extremism. And radical extremism is the root of all evil in the world. All of it... This is exactly what Hitler claimed too and it was also rooted in the very same radical extremism...

Instead of denying reality we should learn from it and adjust our own actions accordingly towards true and honestly earned righteousness. Denying real factual mistakes made will never get us there...
