The list of potential benefits of the shingles vaccine continues to grow.
Beyond protecting against the viral infection and resulting painful rash, the shot has also been linked to a reduced risk of dementia, as Fox News Digital previously reported.
And now, a new study has found that the vaccine could lower the risk of heart disease for up to eight years.
DEMENTIA RISK COULD DIP WITH COMMON VACCINE, STUDY SUGGESTS
In the long-running study, researchers analyzed up to 12 years of data for more than 1.2 million people aged 50 or older in South Korea, focusing on shingles vaccination rates and 18 different types of cardiovascular disease.
....
"The study used a live vaccine, whereas the U.S. uses Shingrix, a recombinant (non-live) vaccine," Dalawari noted. "It’s important to note that Shingrix is over 90% effective against shingles, compared to the live vaccine's 51%."

I got shingles on my face/ near my eyes. Doc-in-a-Box sent me to the emergency room for antiviral IV's.
Possible blindness if it erupts in or near the eyes.
That is extremely rare.
Ordinary shingles is extremely painful. The vaccine (Shingrix) requires two doses some months apart. They cost about $400 per treatment.
The side effects of the vaccine can be very painful in some unlucky patients.
That is very common.
This information came from my pharmacist. It put me off the vaccination, even though she was selling it per company directions.
My wife had it for a month which was painful but she tolerated it pretty well. It was on one side of her back.
What’s so bad about getting shingles?
yeah thats what I said till I got it..miserable two months...
I looked at the article and decided that was my inoculation.
That will not stop shingles. 🙄
What makes you think I’m a sugar addict because I got shingles? Just wondering
I had shingles. Its pretty painful but the doc gave me anti-virals and pain pills and it was pretty well gone in 10 days. I had no lasting effects but I know my Mom had some numbness in one finger after she had shingles.
My conclusion was, after it looks like shingles, unless you CAN’T get antivirals (might have to go to a different clinic), the sooner you start antivirals the better.
I did not mean to imply that you were.
A lot of skin issues can be resolved by a drastic reduction of sugar intake as they thrive on sugar.
A high carbohydrate diet, because of the easy and fast conversion to sugar can also feed skin conditions.
If there is a situation with a persons immuno-system, what would be regarded as a normal amount of sugar can lead to complications.
So, to assist your immune system, you essentially starve the unwated growths.
(Shingles and Candida infection can sometimes be mistaken for each other due to overlapping symptoms like rashes, but they have distinct causes and treatments. Shingles is a viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus, while Candida infection is a fungal infection. )
They both need to feed.
Should try zinc, vitamin D and C in increased dosage for a short while as they help fuel the immune system
(I am not a physician)
Yes the anti-virals really help. I’m not against all vaccines. I’ll take a dead virus vaccine if it actually inoculates against a serious disease.
If you have to take a yearly booster its not a vaccine.
If there is only a 50% chance of protection its not a vaccine.
Agree. It wasn't just you and I warning the medical experts and media "OK, two jabs, but we are not going to do it every year."
And because the fungus and virus exhibit such identical symptoms it is quite possible for both to be present at the same time
“OK, two jabs, but we are not going to do it every year.”
In 2020 or 2022, Naomi Wolf reported that pharma marketing — particularly Pfizer, I think — was enticing investors with this recurrent / annual clot shot necessity. Investors would consider it to be a never-ending stream of profit for them in their portfolios.
They compared it to software updates.
Despicable people.
Pfizer didn’t believe us when we warned them we wouldn’t take more jabs. The Fauchi Ouchey.
Careful...
“...The findings were published in the European Heart Journal on Tuesday....”
My mother had a bad case of shingles for the last 10 years of her life.
I first got the less effective shingles shot abou 15 years ago. Then about 10 years ago I got the more effective shingles shot.
They say the more effective shingles shot does a good job of warding off shingles. I’m 72 now. So I won’t know for sure for another 10-20 years.
