My mother had a bad case of shingles for the last 10 years of her life.

I first got the less effective shingles shot abou 15 years ago. Then about 10 years ago I got the more effective shingles shot.

They say the more effective shingles shot does a good job of warding off shingles. I’m 72 now. So I won’t know for sure for another 10-20 years.

My dad got shingles at age 80, and lived until 89, almost 90.
A decade of suffering for him. A good bit of misery.
