Vladimir Putin’s top security official has vanished during efforts to end the war in Ukraine, amid swirling health rumours and claims he could be caught up in a corruption probe. Sergei Shoigu, 69, is a Russian army general and currently the secretary of the powerful Russian Security Council.
He served as defence minister for most of the war in Ukraine before being replaced one year ago, and is a very well-known member of Putin's entourage. Speculation is swirling in Moscow after he missed the Red Square parade on Friday amid claims his absence was health-related. But an explanation that he was undergoing a “routine medical examination” at a “sanatorium” was not seen as plausible.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Remember in 2023 when Shoigu retired from leader of the Army - and you gave us lots of your BS articles saying he was dead or in prison?
And then he re-appeared as head of the Russian Security Council?
You’re still at it, I see....

Slav genetics all over that region have low male life expectancy, certainly compared to Asians.
A few countries:
Russia 67.9
Uzbekistan 69
Krygistan 67
Moldova 66.9
This has been intriguing for decades because the countries in question do not have high alcohol consumption compared with countries with longer LEs
Putin says let’s talk, will Ukraine talk or just keep making demands?

Among the top causes for death among Russian males is alcohol poisoning, neurological damage from repeated alcohol poisoning , damage caused due to long term exposure to contaminants included in poorly crafted moonshine, and often suicide related to injuries like blindness due to bad bathtub liquor.
I dont know about those other countries but there might be a connection.

Have they checked the pavement near all high-rise buildings?
“Slavic” is such a broad term. Slavic origin is associated with ethnic groups and nations where Slavic languages and cultures predominate:
East Slavic: Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Rusyns.
West Slavic: Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Sorbs.
South Slavic: Serbs, Croats, Bosniaks, Slovenes, Bulgarians, Macedonians, Montenegrins.
Today, “Slavic” means a combination of ethnic identity (tied to a Slavic ethnic group (e.g., Polish, Russian, Serbian), Slavic language or identify, Slavic cultural traditions and heritage, and genetic ancestry.
It is so broad that it is hard to generalize the people.
Another description is “white.”
Oh well. They’re all crooks. Ripping off the army is an old tradition in Russia. And it has spread to the Ukraine.

Russia #56. Below many countries with better life expectancy.
Something genetic.
“It only takes into account the consumption that is recorded from production, import, export, and sales data, primarily derived from taxation.”
No, bathtub gin not genetic.
But it’s not reasonable to presume that only countries with low LE are doing homemade gin. UK could do it. Anyone could do it. Why restrict only to countries with lower LE?
No one has a good answer for this. It’s been surprising for decades.
Among the top causes for death among Russian males is being in a meat wave.
Its not a mystery whatsoever.
No one said that all countries with low LE are drunks.
Russia in particular is know for extreme alcohol consumption and historically oppressive taxes as all authoritarian governments enact. This has created a culture that encourages people to become friendly with local organized crime as a way to avoid compliance. One way to not pay high taxes on more safely produced government alcohol is to buy it from the mob distillery housed in old man Vodoleyev’s shed.
Safer liquor and vaccinations for common childhood diseases would go a long way to bring up LE in Russia and its ex-satellites that also have developed a similar culture of corruption. Working on issues related to why so many turned to liquor in the first place might be even better but that would require a replacement of all individuals in all governments that were part of the Soviet culture and continue it today.
But the data explicitly shows Russian per capita alcohol consumption is not high relative to countries with higher LE.
The link between the two does not appear to be there. Nor for other countries in the region.
But of course what would be there when addressing multiple countries in a region . . . genetics. Which is weird, but the data is clear as to popular presumption. Just not true.
The data does not...
Ya, you got me. I made the whole thing up.
It undoubtedly falls somewhere between the curses of Baba Yaga and genetic sensitivity to brown bear fur.
I learn so much from so many of you these days.
