A tense video emerged of a Massachusetts ICE arrest being disrupted by a crowd of about 25 people in what police are calling a "chaotic incident."
Footage captured Thursday in Worcester shows a group of residents chanting "don’t take the mother!" and "no warrant!" after a woman was led into an SUV by uniformed ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. Before the vehicle can pull away, other women are seen placing their hands on the front hood of an SUV and screaming in protest.
At one point, a CBP agent and a bystander start shoving each other as he tried to move her away from the SUV. The vehicle eventually leaves the area after the Worcester Police Department arrived and declared an unlawful assembly, threatening arrest.
"I am disturbed to hear about today’s events involving ICE. As someone who prides themselves on leading a welcoming city, I am devastated to hear about the separation of a family, especially with Mother’s Day around the corner," Joseph Petty, the city’s Democratic mayor, wrote on X.
"The fear of ICE tearing a family apart is the worst nightmare of so many in our city. I have asked the City Manager for a full report of the incident. We were not notified by ICE about the detainment. Simply put, we cannot have this happen in our community," he added.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) did not immediately respond Friday to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
The Worcester Police Department said it responded to the area of Eureka Street around 11:13 a.m. "for a report of a federal agent who was surrounded by a large group of about twenty-five people."

I’m not sure Massachusetts is worth saving.
The left set all this up in the first place by helping people bypass the formal entry process and by making that process expensive and excruciatingly long. So instead of entering the country legally or applying for asylum, these folks were encouraged to go on a dangerous journey with unsavory coyotes and sneak across the border, violate our laws and abuse our system. No wonder they are suffering the consequences of poor advice.
I live in the state. I don’t watch television, but when I walked by the television as my wife was watching the other night, they kept replaying the footage characterizing it in the chyron as a “VIOLENT ARREST BY ICE”.
Every time I walked by, they had it up again, at least three times.
Scumbags.
They are all propagandists and nothing more. And like infants, they wonder why they are hemorrhaging viewers and the numbers of people who stupidly believe what they say are diminishing.
Worcester is a SH.
We better start saving Massachusetts as a necessary part of saving the entire country. It isn’t like a dotted line of the map of a state is some kind of protection against the ravages of Leftism.
You don’t want to wake up one day like the people of many states and find yourself griping that “It is the Leftists from places like [INSERT FAVORITE LEFTIST PUNCHING BAG STATE HERE] who have polluted and destroyed my state!”
It is what they say in New Hampshire about Massachusetts. It is what some people up in Maine say. All states around California and even as far away as Texas and Florida say it about California, and it is what they used to say in Vermont about New York. (They don’t say it anymore, because there so few conservatives left up there to say it and be heard)
Even Massachusetts was considered conservative at one point, and could elect a Senator like Henry Cabot Lodge. By the time my father ran for state office back around 1980, even though he was a plank owner in the “Citizens for Limited Taxation”, his only chance of getting elected was to try to run as a Democrat, and my father was no Democrat by any measure. (The voters knew that, and the result was expected)
Even Texas, regarded as conservative, has influential and powerful pockets of Leftists in places like Austin. And those are homegrown, as are the ones up in Maine. They don’t need any “outside help”.
Point is, we better start fighting it everywhere rather than thinking we can allow the contagion to fester somewhere hoping the dotted state line will quarantine and keep it isolated there there.
We have seen how well that works.
Or the rest of New England for that matter.
There is no "separation" in any of these cases. Any/all family members can accompany them at their home of record.

This cannot be just some innocent mother. She must have done something quite bad for ICE to be after her.
Let’s let the left climb to the top of this hill then expose the woman for the heinous crimes she surely has committed.

Ferreira de Oliveira was recently arrested by local cops for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a pregnant victim, DHS claimed.
Looks like the denizens of the neighborhood are A-OK with this criminal living around them and their children.

This detention was a hot mess. The officers need to take megaphones, K-9 officers and a paddy wagon with them next time, and arrest multiple offenders.
