Actually, in keeping with the theme of that area, just as there is a lovely statue of George M. Cohan at 42nd Street, a full statue or bust of Eubie Blake and or Noel Sissle,the very FIRST blacks who wrote and directed the FIRST and some other Broadways plays as well as wonderful, very well known songs, would at least have been VERY appropriate for the area and they were REAL and extremely accomplished men!
But no....they but up a HUGE, UGLY, statue of a someone who didn't ever exist, accomplished NOTHING at all, and is absolutely MEANINGLESS!
