With four hats, including national security adviser, the former Trump rival is defying predictions he’d be a weak player.
Marco Rubio is doing big things under President Donald Trump — way more than nearly anyone expected.
The secretary of State was once thought of as one of the weakest players in the Trump orbit, a man who wouldn’t last long in the Cabinet because he faced many internal rivals and had major policy differences with Trump and the MAGA base.
But Rubio has deftly earned the president’s trust, enough so that Trump this week gave him another powerful job as interim national security adviser, replacing the ousted Mike Waltz. Some Trump advisers are interested in making the arrangement permanent, as POLITICO first reported.

Trump has made others see the light. Bush ‘41 had a cocky confidence in the wake of Reagan’s 2 terms but a leopard cannot change its spots. He went back to his old ways.
Mike Waltz will move to the UN. Vivek went from DOGE to frontrunner for the Ohio governorship.Marco-he’d be the perfect one to transition Cuba into the 21st century as El Presidente.

Rubio is Swamp. Conservatism is populism now. Trump has redefined it, and the Swamp by definition cannot be populist.
Vance was selected because he has MAXIMUM 2 years in the Swamp. No previous political experience. Trump knew this and it was the NUMBER ONE selection criteria.
Rubio has done great? What has he done? He was assigned to get peace in Ukraine. Failed. Still at war with Houthis. No resolution to Israel/Gaza. What has he done?
He’s Swamp. There is only one way to undo Swamp and that is to leave government and politics for about 10 years. He has not done that.
Rubio articulates and applies administration policies and priorities naturally, and masterfully. Trump must love watching and listening to Rubio’s media interactions.
Marco has a disappointing record on immigration. Perhaps Trump slapped the sense into him.

No. The only fix for Swamp is to be out of it for about 10 yrs. There is no changing stripes or opinions.
There is only Swamp or non Swamp. Rubio got us $37T in debt. Why reward that?

Based on your criteria, you must disapprove of everyone in Trump’s cabinet. If you’re saying you have to be out of government for at least 10 years, everyone is unqualified based on your criteria.
It's true. The big problem I see for the Democrats is that they have no bench at all. Is AOC a serious candidate? Will they try to push David Hogg into the White House?
They often talk about Newsome, but he's a failed governor of a failed state. I guess he has nice hair. But I don't think that's enough.

Just because Rubio is respected within and beyond MAGA, that’s a bad thing? Obviously Marco is rehearsing for 2028. If he screws up or plays the fall guy, he’s finished like Madam Benghazi Clinton.
What has he accomplished? He’s stood toe to toe with the MSM. He’s articulated his bosses priorities and policies, even though he may not see eye to eye 100 pct. If you want Trump for another term, change the constitution and give him a magic youth elixar. Otherwise, thank your lucky stars for Marco,, JD, etc
