Russian President Vladimir Putin said in comments broadcast on Sunday said that the need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine had not arisen, and that he hoped it would not arise.
In a fragment of an upcoming interview with Russian state television published on Telegram, Putin said that Russia has the strength and the means to bring the conflict in Ukraine to a "logical conclusion."

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Do what we want or there will be WW3. Said every Moscow Kremlin Bolshevik ever.
“bring the conflict in Ukraine to a “logical conclusion.”
con·clu·sion /kənˈklo͞oZHən/
noun: conclusion; plural noun: conclusions
1. the end or finish of an event or process.
“the conclusion of World War Two”
How many of the world’s despots will be in Moscow on the 9th?
“Putin says he hopes he can blackmail the west - nuclear blackmail - into surrendering Ukraine”
Is there anyone left to kill? Anyone left to launch the nukes and occupy the newly destroyed land?
Congratulations on killing one another.
More sabre rattling from the Napoleon complexed ex KGB whacko. Didn’t he say he would take Ukraine in 2 weeks? I suppose his next act will be to bang his shoe on the table and yell, “We will bury you”. What good would it be to nuke a country if you want to annex it? How long did it take for people to return to the nuked cities in Japan? And at what cost? When the bombs were nothing compared to what exists today.
Want the war to stop?
Make it unprofitable.
For all involved.
Yeah, not going to happen. Just Bolshevist bluster hoping to intimidate those who don't think it through.
Riiight
That’s an amazing statement. Just three years ago, Russia invaded Ukraine, ostensibly to liberate the Russian speaking fringe from the oppression of Ukrainian occupation. I share the view, however, that Putin — the old, unrepentant KGB man — had a broader objective of reestablishing Russian hegemony over the many territories that gained independence when the U.S.S.R. collapsed. Putin has always regarded this as a disaster and a national tragedy, and he thought his legacy would be a restoration of the Russian primacy.
That was three years ago. Now Putin is threatening to nuke the ungrateful locals who have declined his generous offers of “liberation” beneath the treads of Russian tanks. Damn uppity Ukrainians.
What would the Ukrainian people vote for today if they could have a free and fair election? I don’t know. But what would the Russian people vote for, if THEY could have a free and fair election? Probably not Putin’s disastrous war.
Have you been to Hiroshima? It is like nothing bad ever happened there. It is a bustling, clean, beautiful city with a large Peace Park. People we met there were very friendly and accommodating as we wandered around the area.
He’s talking like someone who knows his lines are about to collapse somewhere.
His economy is in ruins, he has killed or wounded nearly a million of his own countrymen, and Russia remains a pariah among nations.
It will interesting to see how he attempts to spin any semblance of “victory” in all this devastation.
All of them.
Well, it is the weekend. Ya can’t go three days without these morons talking about using nukes.
Everyone in the world is simply tired of the threats. Either use them or STFU.
My Dad was there in 1947.
It’s funny…he came away with a very different impression of the place.
Maybe it's time for the 'Official World Police Force' to nuke Moscow!

Russia isn’t
I understand Hiroshima is like nothing ever happened. I’ve seen videos of a bustling city. But long did it take, and at what cost? What did they do with all of the radiation? The two bombs dropped on the two cities were nothing like the ones that exists now. I can imagine the destruction would be incredible. I know there are small “suitcase” bombs, but I don’t think they would do much except to bring the rest of Europe into the war big time. I think it would seriously backfire for Russia. Putin is a psycho, he has no morals, no conscience, but to start a nuclear war is something I don’t think even he really wants.
