Exactly. Given the time lapse much has taken place that we don’t know of. The US Virgin Islands has no time limit on sex trafficking, rape and aggravated rape. I made my first batch of the Pau D’Arco tea. It was very easy to do but straining the bark out of the water was a pain in the arse. I tried using coffee filters in a funnel but as the filter did it’s job the flow slowed to a trickle. I think I need to use cheese cloth, filter the tea between two pots instead of when I put it into a jug. I’ll perfect the process. They recommend (2) 8oz cups a day to maintain and 8 cups if you’re trying to correct an issue.

Known as Operation RapTor, this international sweep has dismantled networks trafficking in drugs, weapons, and counterfeit goods, sending a clear signal to criminals hiding behind the illusion of anonymity.
he suspects were identified through coordinated investigations based on intelligence from the takedowns of the dark web marketplaces Nemesis, Tor2Door, Bohemia and Kingdom Markets. Many had conducted thousands of sales on illicit marketplaces, using encryption tools and cryptocurrencies to cover their tracks — but law enforcement closed in.
This international action follows Operation SpecTor in 2023, which led to 288 arrests. Together, these operations show the increasing ability of law enforcement to penetrate the dark web’s cloak of secrecy.

Millions seized, weapons recovered
In parallel with the arrests, officers seized:
Over EUR 184 million in cash and cryptocurrencies
Over 2 tonnes of drugs, including amphetamines, cocaine, ketamine, opioids and cannabis
Over 180 firearms, along with imitation weapons, tasers and knives
12 500 counterfeit products
More than 4 tonnes of illegal tobacco
These seizures represent a major disruption to the criminal supply chains that feed the dark web economy.
.....While executing search warrants in New Jersey and New York, federal law enforcement officers seized more than $330,000, close to 80,000 counterfeit Adderall pills, one firearm, and two industrial pill press machines.
Additionally, two vehicles and several pieces of property were seized during the search warrants. An additional 30 kilograms of suspected counterfeit Adderall pills were seized on May 2, 2024, in New York.
he Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) additionally sanctioned Iranian national Behrouz Parsarad for his role as the founder and operator of Nemesis Market following seizure of the market. Parsarad was also indicted by a federal grand jury in the Northern District of Ohio on drug trafficking charges related to the illegal business he ran on the dark web.
Nemesis had over 30,000 active users and 1,000 vendors and facilitated the sale of nearly $30 million worth of drugs around the world between 2021 and 2024, including to the United States.
Behrouz Parsarad (Parsarad), residing in Iran, was the sole administrator of Nemesis. In this capacity, Parsarad established Nemesis and held full control over the marketplace and its virtual currency wallets. Parsarad enriched himself from fees he charged users of Nemesis with every transaction, pocketing what OFAC estimates to be millions of dollars over the course of the marketplace’s existence. In addition to providing criminals with a platform to conduct transactions, Parsarad laundered virtual currencies for narcotics traffickers and cybercriminals active on Nemesis.
On March 20, 2024, U.S., German, and Lithuanian law enforcement agencies seized Nemesis’ servers in a joint operation. Since the takedown of Nemesis, Parsarad has discussed setting up a new darknet marketplace to take the place of Nemesis with vendors that were once active on the marketplace.

However, the bill includes tax relief for seniors, which Republicans have promoted alongside other campaign promises like no tax on tips and no tax on overtime.
The “enhanced deduction for seniors” gives an extra $4,000 deduction for people over 65 filing their taxes, according to CBS News. The limited time break is also subject to income limitations, the outlet reported.
Nonpartisan nonprofit the Tax Foundation categorizes the standard deduction for seniors as a bad thing, saying it “(violates) basic tax principles of treating taxpayers equally.””
“Trump promised while campaigning to remove taxes on Social Security, which is funded through a payroll tax and then taxed again, above an income threshold, upon disbursal to bolster the Social Security fund along with Medicare.
The enhanced deduction for seniors is a close substitute for the Social Security tax cancellation promised by Trump but is technically a different tax. According to congressional rules, the Social Social program cannot be altered through budget reconciliation, which is the legislative workaround Republicans are using to allow a party-line vote on their bill and avoid a Democratic filibuster in the Senate.”
Fish & Wildlife has expanded its regulatory rule to every tree in much of the U.S.

Apparently in a bid to give itself more power over every proposed building project in the United States, the Fish & Wildlife Service in October 2024 (just before the election) wildly expanded its regulatory rules for protecting endangered bats.
According to the new rules, Fish & Wildlife now considers the removal of any trees at such projects to be a risk to the endangered species, because those trees “may” have been used as roosts and would therefore threaten the species ability to survive if removed.
No matter that there may be thousands of other trees nearby, including many acres of forest. If you are building anything that involves cutting down any trees, you will be subjected to Fish & Wildlife supervision that could block construction. And the area this new rule covers includes almost the entire eastern and northern parts of the United States, as shown on the maps to the right, taken from the new regulation guidelines [pdf].
Long time reader Jack O’Leary informed me of this new power grab. He also sent me information about one particular project in Massachusetts involving the installation of a well and pump station in a forested area southeast of Boston, far from any bat hibernacula. The only impact this project might have on any bats is the removal of some trees, though the project is located in a forested area with hundreds of acres of trees all around (as shown clearly on the satellite view on Google maps).
Yet Fish & Wildlife makes it clear in its letter [pdf] to the project that its “Endangered Species Act requirements are not complete.” Fish & Wildlife admits that the project will pose no direct threat to the endangered bats, but the very act of cutting down a few trees “may affect” the bats, so therefore government regulatory supervision is required.
The government paperwork repeatedly says its requirements from private owners is “voluntary”, but it also makes it clear if you don’t “volunteer” the government might come down on you like a ton of bricks.
Essentially what Fish & Wildlife is saying is simple:
“That’s a nice project you got there. Sure would be a shame if something happened to it. Maybe you should do what we say to protect it from harm!”
This new regulatory framework is part of an overall pattern in the past decade by the federal government’s various environmental agencies to expand their power and control. Once environmental impact statements were only required once, at the start of any project, and only in certain situations where the project carried clear environmental risks. Now impact statements and reassessments are required for all work, no matter where or when, and are required again and again if projects are revised or changed slightly.
The space community has seen this power grab play out most starkly at the long established spaceports in Florida and Vandenberg, and at SpaceX’s new launch facility at Boca Chica. Even though we have empirical evidence over almost three-quarters of a century that rocket launches not only do no significant harm to the environment, they help wildlife thrive by creating large areas where development cannot occur. Yet, in the past decade the ability for new companies to launch at these facilities has been seriously hampered and delayed because of endless demands for new impact statements.
This new Fish & Wildlife rule will impact almost every construction project in the eastern half of the United States, as it apparently requires government review and approval (not guaranteed) for any work that removes or trims even one tree.
This is definitely an area that needs a quick review by the Trump administration.
