It died for me 7 years ago with the Last Jedi. Haven’t watched or seen anything since. Of course for some it died for them in 1977 after they weren’t enamoured with the debut. I have to get rid of my collectables eventually. I gave a bunch away already. Mostly posters and some magazines. I suppose I should someday change my FR nickname since its an obscure reference in that first movie.

I was just explaining that to a young Hawaiian friend yesterday.
How we kids would stay up and wait for TWWoD after the Sunday football game (and be ticked off if there was overtime, lol).
Also how we were lucky to get more than 1 channel at a time, and they all shut down at 1 a.m. with the anthem playing.
