Donald Trump: Vladimir, STOP!
mediaite ^ | April 24 | Donald J. Trump

Posted on 04/24/2025 7:30:15 AM PDT by RandFan

In a Thursday morning social media post, Trump wrote, “I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!”

Trump had pledged to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine within 24 hours of being elected, but he and his diplomatic team have thus far found it difficult to broker a peace agreement with Russia and Ukraine, going so far as to suggest they will give up any efforts recently.

Ukraine was overthrown in 2013, which is why we are in this situation now

Ok, so you are assuming that Putin is the problem. I think that is an incorrect assumption

Everyone seems to ignore that London and Brussels have declared they will support the war in Ukraine indefinitely into the future. Didn’t Europe declare in March that they would issue $800 billion Euro “war bonds” to aid in that effort - national budget limits be damned?

And didn’t Ukraine just say to Germany - hey, since we are in this together, you should give us 30% of all your remaining tanks and artillery, and all your remaining Taurus missiles.

Sounds like there are many other parties still interested in war.

The narrative that “Vlad” just needs to accede to “Trump’s” demands, is simplistic and stupid.

Trump is giving Putin every possible chance to avoid war. But if Putin refuses Trump’s hand, more and more Americans will come around in thinking that we’ll have to deal with Russia.

All we have to do is to drill for more oil. And ask the Saudis to sell everything they have on the global market.

Russia will be broke in a year.

Even if Putin occupies every square inch of Ukraine he will always be a loser in the eyes of all decent people. What Trump should do is announce a plan to start expropriating all imports/exports of funds, products, and services with all direct and indirect trading partners of Russia + Russia to be put in trust to fairly compensate the claims of damage/loss/suffering by victims of his Special Military Operation against Ukraine. And then he should do it. Putin should have tried to solve these issues through diplomacy.

you are obviously failing to see the entire picture here. From Putins point of view this is obviously not for nothing or there would be no point. so then the question is why. why is this worth it for russia?

i agree that we should pull out and let the EU deal with it

or interested in defending Ukraine as Ukraine is the buffer between an aggressive Russia and Poland, the Baltics, and Europe. A valid defense concern.

Personally I really don’t care who wins Ukraine war. I am most concerned about United States increasing national debt to support foreign wars. I have children and grand children. They will surely bear the burden of debt since adults have no intentions of paying off any part of the debt. Chronic TRILLION dollar yearly deficits is no way to avoid bankruptcy and demise of US dollar.

Russia was 'allowed' politically to put down Hitler by being allowed to get to Berlin first. The Russians would have been in Nazi camps if it werent for US aid and arms throughout the war.

Stalin killed 5 million Ukrainians during Holodomor. Ultra paranoid Stalin purged (killed) his top military command on the eve of WW2, which meant an additional 5 million Russians dying (my guess) fighting off the German army. Putin is a paranoid head case, same as Stalin.

Hillary’s state department caused a coup and put an anti-russian government in power in 2013. that is where all of this started.

Those parties have done a piss poor job of protecting Ukraine so far. Just look at the devastation of infra-structure in Ukraine. What makes you confident those same countries can do better job in future?

Putin is a gangsta.

The little fella is a wannabe gangsta who holds no cards.

Trump holds the cards to STOP this war.

Problem is the wannabe gangsta doesn’t want the war stopped any more than the real gangsta.

Trump will be forced to withhold the cards that are prolonging this war.

Neocon war machine will just have to find another place to engage in war profiteering.

One thing is for sure the Neocons will never focus their attention on the illegal invasion of the United States.

To Neocon warmongers, I ask these two questions, how many Russian nationals are in America both legally and illegally?

How many Red Chinese nationals are in this country both legally and illegally?

The greatest national security threat to America is not that gangsta Putin trying to retake territory in Central Europe of which has been claimed by many regional gangstas over the centuries.

Russian is not in fiscal control of the Panama Canal although Trump is wisely looking forwardly for Russian aggression by seeking to secure Greenland.

While the Neocons played at war in Iraq, Afghanistan and now the Ukraine, trillions have been wasted.

As Trump so WISELY opined during the South Carolina primary debate in 2016, we spent trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan and what do we have to show for it?

To reframe the question, we have spent billions in the Ukraine and what do we have to show for it?

You can say this started 3 years ago or you can say it started centuries ago. Picking an arbitrary date in between is just propping up an agenda.

I looked at various resources (not associated with Russia or Ukraine government sources). For the Ukraine: 45,100/KIA, 390,000/WIA, 13,000/Civilians Total for Ukraine: 448K Casualties

For Russia: 125,000/KIA and 350,000/WIA. Total for Russia: 475K Casualties.

Total estimated casualties is 923,000 KIA/WIA. So far.

When I said “let them have it” I meant both of them - Putin and Zelensky. We have no business remaining involved in this atrocity that leads to nothing. I do not want any more of my tax dollars going to this nonsense. We have enough problems here.

Protecting Ukraine is secondary to ‘those parties’. Causing russia to lose more than can be gained by further invasion is the primary purpose.

Ukrainian cities and civilians are victims in this.

Nicely put.

It's like saying the war between Israel and the Palestinians started on October 7, 2023. You can pick any date you like - 1973, 1967, 1956, 1948, before 1948, and so on, but the date you pick (if you want to pick one at all) is not meant to be historically accurate, but to promote whatever side you hope wins the war, when it eventually ends.
