Donald Trump: Vladimir, STOP!
mediaite ^ | April 24 | Donald J. Trump

Posted on 04/24/2025 7:30:15 AM PDT by RandFan

In a Thursday morning social media post, Trump wrote, “I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!”

Trump had pledged to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine within 24 hours of being elected, but he and his diplomatic team have thus far found it difficult to broker a peace agreement with Russia and Ukraine, going so far as to suggest they will give up any efforts recently.

Trump is doing the right thing. Give peace a chance. Putin needs to wise up and get on board or else Trump will lose patience and walk away. Maybe he doesn't care about that I don't know. It's proving more tricky than I thought to end this costly War.

Trump knows people are too divided right now as to what to do with Ukraine.

It’s like 1939, FDR probably knew was with Germany was inevitable, but 95% of Americans at the time wanted nothing to do with it. Events had to play themselves out before the majority was ready to go to war.

Trump is giving Putin every possible chance to avoid war. But if Putin refuses Trump’s hand, more and more Americans will come around in thinking that we’ll have to deal with Russia.

Trump walking away is no threat to Putin. Its like Cartman saying

I posted in an earlier thread a week or so ago...

Trump is a bull in a china shop. That’s why people love him and it’s necessary to fix so much that’s wrong here at home. But it is also risky when it comes to foreign affairs. Sometimes people think it’s 4D chess, and that may be true sometimes. But other times I’m convinced it’s just disruption and some of the fall out is unanticipated.

I really do not understand how Trump can understand Reagan's peace through strength concept so well yet find himself being so inconsistent with Russia and Ukraine.

I have said for three years, its takes two to stop a fight. Only one to start or keep the fight going. Neither Russia nor Ukraine want to end this fight given the current state of the conflict. Russia because it feels the initiative, despite the cost; Ukraine because it stands to lose so much and pride wont let it surrender.

Not sure if Putin is winning but look at the scorecard.

Millions have fled Ukraine as refugees to other countries. Ukrainians killed in this war numbers into hundreds of thousands. Apartment buildings, Utilities, roads, railroads, airports have been destroyed in Ukraine.

I have not seen news reports of millions of Russians have fled Russia. Infra-structure in Russia is not destroyed. And obviously, Russia has not run out of weapons with this latest attack on Kyiv.

“Putin needs to wise up”

Putin invaded for his own lust and ambition. Even if Putin signed any agreement to end his invasion, it would not be even worth the paper he signed that commitment on!

Putin cannot be held accountable by the people of Russia or the Kremlin for any of his behavior.

Russia has not run out of weapons with this latest attack on Kyiv.

Russia is producing more missiles and drones now than before the war

Plus importing from Iran and North Korea

The idea that Russia would ever runout was just a Zeeper fantasy

Vlad still holds all the cards….

“I’ve been watching for years, and I’ve been watching him negotiate with no cards,” Trump said of Zelensky. “He has no cards. And you get sick of it.”
“So, I don’t think he’s very important to be at meetings, to be honest with you,” Trump added. “He makes it very hard to make deals.”

That about sums it all up. Trump knows all about the corrupted little pervert. This war will end when Vlad decides.

The war ends when the Neocons (in the US and Europe) FULLY UNDERSTAND that Russia is not interested in a cease fire, just to have the fight the war again (and against NATO troops), be it in 10 years, 5 years, 1 year, 1 month, or 1 week.

Russia wants this war CONCLUDED, and following the Finland model during WW2, which includes the following:
1. Internationally recognized border changes
2. Ukrainian neutrality - no NATO, no foreign troops
3. Strong limits on the size and composition of Ukraine’s military and its weapons.
4. De-Nazification

For you Zeepers, this is NOT my wish list - so STOP attacking the messenger (as you clowns do non-stop here), this is what RUSSIA has said from Day 1, and they have not changed, other than in the location of the borders, as the Neocons fired longer range missiles from Ukraine.

If not agreement on the above, Russia continues to fight on, and it’s unlikely Ukraine will exist as a country when the war is over.

And, again, Zeepers, this is what the RUSSIANS are saying, not what the “Putinistas” are saying.

And, by the way, the Russians are also quite clear that if the Neocons really want a nuclear war with Russia, they’ll get that nuclear war with Russia.

I don’t like to admit it, but Trump has come off as quite ineffective and impotent throughout this whole process so far. He really hasn’t been able to convince either side to give up anything.

Putin is immoral and he will continue as long as he can make further gains and get away with it.

Zelensky is an immoral puppet of the Western globalists who in turn have been infiltrated by the CCP.

Putin and the CCP want to see the West, whether it be the globalists or Trump and other Western nationalists, destroyed.

The war will continue.

We will have to deal with Russia. The question is "how?"

People who think that the US can be isolationist and let the world go to hell around us dont realize this is not 1776 anymore and those oceans are not such a big divide in the age of modern warfare or even economic warfare. The sovereign state is one of the few things that has reigned in tribal warfare in modern history. Nations have still gone to war, but its the idea of a nation state and that borders mean things that provides a chance of stability vs chaos, a chance of rule of law over rule of men.

In 91' the world, led by the US, stepped in to run Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait. The cynical said for oil (and that does provide a national interest), but the reality is if one nation can overrun another and there is no response, borders mean nothing.

Some questions with MHO answers:

Do we have an interest in the Russia/Ukraine war? Yes

What is the interest? Borders mean things, per above. Russia has an aggressive history. Better (and cheaper in cost and lives) to stop aggression early than later (see WWII).

Is Ukraine worthy of being defended? Ukraine is corrupt, but so is Russia and for that matter, most of the rest of the world in some form. Very few non-corrupt nations exist, and some like us are fickle about it every election cycle.

Is our interest in Ukraine sovereignty enough to send troops? No, not at this time.

Is that interest enough to send arms? Yes

Why? Because Russia wont stop with Ukraine. They have their sights on the Baltics and Europe as well.

Why does that concern us? Because evil left unattended only grows. Eventually we will have to face it, and either succumb or be forced to fight.

We have many challenges today with China, and Russia being to two biggest, and a host of wannabe's (Iran, NK, and socialist infiltration amongst our own government and allies). We will have to learn to walk and chew gum at the same time.
