As I’ve gotten older, I’ve just naturally lost interest in a lot of meat; and don’t like sweets as I used to, either. I crave vegetables, and eat a lot of cheese, eggs and yogurt...
But I enjoy seafood as much as ever.
I’m a carnivore. Beef, chicken, Turkey, fish, shrimp, crawfish, occasional pork.
I love veggies too.
I don’t like sweets like I used to. Just a butter cookie will do.
And LOTS of water.
I loooove water.💦

I guess I complied as a kid - hamburgers, hotdogs, fish sticks, the meatish stuff in Chef Boy Ar Dee ravioli, mystery meat at school...Sunday pot roast.
At 78 years of age I eat lots of MEAT as I have an artificial heart valve and take large doses of Warfarin. The Vitamin K in greens messes me up bad.
No thanks. I’m 77, and I’ll eat what I freaking want until the day I die.
Agree ever se see an old vegetarian they look like walking death.
And they are always farting
Avoid elevators besides steps are good exercise and it smells better.

If hamburgers and fries are hard to your digestion, it may be due to anything (seed oils can wreck havoc some stomachs) but you can be 100% sure it’s not because of the beef patties.
One word: Constipation.
All of this diet concern is mostly meant to keep a bunch of people employed and selling stuff. It produces some very expensive urine and excrement.
Use common sense in what and how much you eat and you will probably be all right. Indeed there are some folks that have health concerns and must be concerned about their diet but for most of us eat and drink away.

I am 89 years old and take NO prescription drugs. I still look after my wife of 68 years since she has some problems not related to diet. I wish they were! She is the one that fed me that dastardly tasty stuff...
I contend that the most important decision you make in life is whom you chose for grandparents. Genetics is far more important than a 70/30 hamburger! Unfortunately you can not buy them over the counter or by prescription...

That’s the spirit! Look at President Trump. Gets 4 hours of sleep, eats fast food, drinks soda, and doesn’t exercise (apart from golf) and his physical health seems great for a guy who’s almost 80!
Totally untrue. Criteria of defined constipation include discomforts like bloating or bloody stool. None of it happens with a carnivore no fiber diet, on the contrary, it resolves constipation, any carnivore can attest to that.
Fibers, contrary to what the current (and nearly always wrong) nutrition ‘science’ says, are more likely the cause of constipation than the solution. The Ho KS, et al. study on patients with real clinically diagnosed (and not imagined or perceived) constipation (2012 World Journal of Gastroenterology Study) found that, brace yourself : “Stopping or reducing dietary fiber intake reduces constipation and its associated symptoms”. You can look up for the details of the study, the no fiber group has the best improvement (after the 6 months study period) with incresed stool frequency compared to the reduced fiber group and the increased fiber group has constipation unchanged or worsened.
Regardless any ‘study’, I know the thing for myself. I eat only animal products with nearly no fibers (probably just once a month) and have my bowel movements everyday always at the same time. If not, all I need to do is increase my fat intake (eg more butter).

If you think that President Trump eats mostly fast food and drinks soda, you haven’t seen what’s on his dinner table at the Trump tower, Mar a lago or the White house. He most probably knows how bad carbs are since he drinks only Coca Light.

Less when you’re old because it could cause excess iron. But if you donate blood, that reduces stored iron and that lets you eat all the meat you want, and you won’t have excess iron.
Genetics is far more important than a 70/30 hamburger!
