Moscow and Washington are making serious efforts to achieve peace, but rapid progress should not be expected, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
"Quite hard work is underway. You know that first-hand information exchanges are going on. I’m talking about the recent meeting between [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and [US Special Presidential Envoy] Mr. Witkoff in St. Petersburg," he said, adding that other channels were also in operation, News.Az reports, citing TASS.
"Hard work is underway. [The development of peace initiative] is such a complicated matter that it’s hardly possible to expect immediate results," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.

The argument is over where the new border will be.
The path to peace runs thru Trump and Putin.
No matter what path is taken "Z" is not going to cooperate...and he will be taken out. An election MUST be held. He is NOT a peoples President.
Putin is begging President Trump for sanctions to be dropped. Including EU sanctions.
Can the US dictate peace in the Russo-Ukrainian war? I don’t think we can force Russia. It looks like we can’t force the Ukraine either.
We support Israel and bribe Egypt for some level of peace in the Middle East. I don’t see that formula working here.
Technically, I think we are already at war with Russia. Both sides pretend otherwise for the sake of comity. I think we should gradually pull back so that we are completely out of the picture. Europeans keep bragging that they don’t need the US. ok.
Ruzzians are hardy people. They have lived with little or nothing for decades.
"Trump said that Russia could have already invaded all of Ukraine if Putin wanted, claiming Zelensky has no leverage or negotiation skills. He also said Ukraine is more ‘demolished’ than Gaza."
"Trump Says Putin Has Power to Take Ukraine ‘If He Wants,’ Zelensky ‘Has No Cards’" Kyiv Post, 21 February 2025.
ZEEPER FOLLIES PINGLIST!(((PING!)))
“Can the US dictate peace in the Russo-Ukraine war?”
False premise.
The United States, or more accurately an illegal, seditious cabal within the United States government has been making war against Russia since at least 2014 and possibly since 2008 using corrupted Ukrainian politicians as cutouts and unfortunate Ukrainian soldiers as cannon fodder.
Just do this mental exercise: If the US withdrew our military forces (”advisers”) from Kiev and stopped the illegal activities of US forces in Wiesbaden as well as in Poland and Romania, and stopped delivery of weapons, and did that tomorrow, the war would end tomorrow, correct?
And if the US did not do that, the war would continue, also correct?
So the war is between rogue elements in the US national security apparatus and Russia. What Ukraine does or doesn’t do is irrelevant.
Excellent!
The longer it takes, the closer to The Last Ukrainian Alive we get.
When Russia kills him, the Uke Nazi problem is solved permanently, and America Wins Bigly!
I’m going to wait till Trump makes the announcement. I don’t trust Zelensky or Putin. Leaks to the press or talking points sent to Putin followers mean nothing.
And, we all know Zeepers like you don't.
What if they gave a war and no one came? The People do not want war—Not in any land. Only a handful are yelling for a WW III—mass die off. To get the people OK for war and their own destruction a sort of terrible event needs to happen—a sinking of the Lusitania, a Zimmermann Letter, a Pearl Harbor, False flags have worked in the past—Gulf of Tonkin—Poland’s invasion of Germany. etc... BUT I do not think that would work today. No one wants war— This is a time of great change. Governments will soon fall in Europe, even the Mullahs in Iran are on there way out. Israel will be changing soon—many are moving out. The immigration issue is fading as nation states wise up. Chinese CCP may well need to reform. This is a time of great internal change.
Spamming again azzhole?
Take it to DU
I think the Ukraine should sue for peace. That is the opposite of what we are hearing from Z.
Tell Putin to accept President Trump’s Easter ceasefire.
