You get a country where 25% of its land is gone, and the best locations where millions of people are killed. You know, you haven't reported accurately the death and this was Biden's war and I'm trying to stop it. And I think we're going to do a good job. I hope we're going to do. They lose 2,500 young people a week — think — on average. Now they're Russians and they're Ukrainians, but it's 2,000. We don't care. It's like whatever it is intolerable. They're not from your country, they're not from mine. But I want to stop it. 2,500 — it's a killing field. It's like the civil war. You take a look. I look at the satellite pictures. This should not be happening in our — in our time. Of course, our time can be pretty violent, as we know, but that's a war that should have never been allowed to start and Biden could have stopped it and Zelenskyy could have stopped it and Putin should have never started it. Exactly, and I don’t think Trump was quite correct in saying Putin started the war.
It was the hostile aggression by Obama, then NATO, then Biden that forced Russia into taking action.
Trump sums the situation up pretty accurately.

Tit for tat finger pointing and posturing is going to result in only one outcome for Ukraine.
That outcome is realization by Russia that they are never going to end the war by negotiation and that their only option is to try end the war soonest by winning it.
The really disturbing thing about the trajectory of the Trump Administration's attempts to mediate a negotiated peace is the plain fact that the Zelensky government, EU/NATO backers of the Zelensky regime and their now out of power Uni Party allies in the US Government all seem to be trying to back Putin into a corner where his only viable option is to pursue a major military operation to try to bring the war to a close by decisively defeating the Ukrainian opposition.
Once this happens, the pressure for the Trump Administion to intervene to try to prevent the Russians from winning or be reviled to stick the blame on President Trump as the President who lost Ukraine will become unrelenting.
Trump’s concern about war deaths is illustrative of the fact he can’t comprehend the Big Picture.
