Pfizer scraps daily weight loss pill after liver injury in one patient
CNBC ^ | April 14, 2025 | Annika Kim Constantino

Key Points

Pfizer said it would end development of its experimental daily weight loss pill after a patient experienced a liver injury that was potentially caused by the drug in a trial.

The patient’s liver enzymes “recovered rapidly” after they stopped taking the pill, which is an oral GLP-1 drug called danuglipron.

The patient had elevated liver enzymes, which often indicate damage to cells in the liver, but did not experience any liver-related symptoms or side effects, a Pfizer spokesperson told CNBC.

The announcement adds to a string of setbacks in the company’s bid to win a slice of the booming market for GLP-1s, which mimic gut hormones to tamp down appetite and regulate blood sugar.

Weight loss? Aren’t GLP-1 drug variations supposed to be for control of HbA1c blood levels, related to Type 2 diabetes?

When it comes right down to it, most of these medications are to correct the symptoms of poor regard for healthy eating and exercise.

RFK Junior has selected the right target for the general state of health in this country.

WTF? They’re still pushing the kill shot. Legalized drug pushers with indemnification. Fentanyl bad. Pfizer good.

Recover rapidly by stopping Big Pharma's help.

Gee, look what liability does, as compared to no liability for the Jim Jones Jab.

Hoping this has no impact on Rybelsus, a once a day pill for diabetes.

Profits over Patients became the Pharma industry standard decades ago and we are worse off for it.

Institutions of Big Business and Big Government exemplify moral bankruptcy and the decline of Western civilization.

One person whose enzymes are off and they pull the whole thing.

Compare to the MRNA shot given to half the worlds population.

I tried to diet and eat right for ten years. I continued to slowly gain weight form the age of 35 to 61. Last December I tried intermittent fasting twice a week. I do not eat from Sunday night after dinner until Tuesday morning. So I am fasting right now.

I repeat from Wednesday night until Friday morning.
So, two days fasting out of seven.
The weekends and other days I eat normally.
I started at 213 pounds. I am 5’ 9”.
I have gotten as low as 189.
I was 194 this morning. I went out to eat twice on Saturday, but also went skiing.

The biggest change was my Chlorestoral. It has been genetically high my entire adult life. Over 200. I tried five different statins that all gave me muscle weakness.
In January 2023 my total Cloresterol was 290. This past January it had dropped to 206. Mostly due to a drop in the LDL(bad). Not the HDL (good).

So, this has worked for me. I also try to walk during lunch if the weather is good and do a lot of yard work. I do not go to the gym.

What a difference!

Think of the lives saved if they had had this attitude about the COVID vax.

Why didn’t you scrap the Covid vax then you A-holes? You hid the test data.
