Why haven you not known for several days that Ken Paxton is challenging Cornyn?
He is getting challenged by Paxton. If I was Cornyn I would ask Paxton for a duel. It is the only chance he has. Even Thune and other GOP Senators are trying to pressure POTUS Trump to support Cornyn.

There has long been speculation that AG Paxton would challenge Corny Cornball’s Senate seat.
Tonight, Paxton is officially announcing that he is.

Perhaps Cornyn will do the right thing and pull out. He’s getting old. Run for Paxton’s job I don’t care.
Yeah, it’s worthless with zero information other than Cornyn is being challenged.

Still, Paxston, on his best day, is still pretty darn strange.
I don’t live in Texas, but Paxton is a far better choice than John Cornyn. At least Paxton says he’s running to support President Trump’s agenda. Cornyn’s been a Rino for a long time, and narrowly won his election the last time.
