President Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff will lead the U.S. delegation for nuclear talks with Iran on Saturday in Oman, two sources familiar with the plan tell Axios.
-snip-
So far, there have only been negotiations about the negotiations — which don't yet seem to be resolved.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, whom Iranian press reports say will be Iran's chief negotiator, insisted the talks would be "indirect" — with Omani mediators passing messages between the sides.
Trump insisted the talks would be "direct." Two U.S. officials told Axios that is indeed the plan.
Whatever the format, the stakes are clear.
"If the talks aren't successful with Iran, I think Iran is going to be in great danger," Trump said, when asked by Axios if he was prepared to use military force to destroy Iran's nuclear program. "You know, it's not a complicated formula. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon."

I hope he brings a picture of Khamenei‘s house.
Yep.
I'd start with the location of his septic tank.
Here’s the thing. It’s not all that hard to build a nuclear weapon, especially when you have 1 reactor operating and 4 more under construction.
The whole centrifuge approach is only for fission bombs, and pretty much all nuclear weapons in the world, including those of India and Pakistan, use Plutonium, which is not a centrifuge product. Rather, it is a spent nuclear fuel product.
Point being, there had been talk of them just being a few days or weeks or months away from a weapon for what, 20 years?
I suspect overall the whole nuclear weapon story is for media consumption and what the US really wants is to dictate Iran foreign policy, regardless of them allowing inspection of nuclear sites or not.
Keep negotiating long enough and all that talk will be made moot.
