Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson revealed that his father, Phil Robertson was “not good,” months after it was revealed he had been diagnosed with the “early stages” of Alzheimer’s disease.
During a recent episode of Unashamed with the Robertson Family, Jase, his brother Alan Robertson, and their cousin Zach Dasher provided an update on Phil’s health, and Phil’s wife, Kay Robertson’s health.
“For my mom, it’s been a lot better this past week, because she was really not doing good,” Jase explained. “She got an infection from a fall — from a cut that had happened earlier.”
Jase continued to explain that his mom was “still in the hospital,” and added that they had been “dealing with the fact that maybe this is it.”
“And, my dad. You know when people say — ’cause that’s the number one question I get everywhere I go, and they’re like, ‘How’s your dad doing?’ Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth. I say, ‘Not good,'” Jase explained. During the episode, Jase also revealed that Zach “visited both” of their parents, and after one visit, “Zach just lost it.” Jase explained that he realized that “when you’re in these battles” each day, “you kind of compartmentalize everything.”
“I pulled in when Zach was coming out, so he kind of stuck his head in the window, you know, ’cause we had to get him professional care, and I was like, ‘How’d that go?’ And, Zach just lost it, you know?” Jase explained. “I kind of realized in that moment, when you’re in these battles day by day, you kind of compartmentalize everything just so you can deal with it.”
Jase continued to state that they were “doing the best” that they can, and making their dad comfortable.

Yes.
My theory is that he’s “euram.” These Israel-haters never give up!
When I get Alzheimer’s, will I be the first one to know, or the last?
This does not sound good for Phil. It seems as if they have called in hospice along with some full time care giving help. For some, Alzheimer’s is a slow good bye. For others, things seem to go much quicker. I hate this disease. It has taken several of my dearest loved ones.
Prayers for Ms. Kay to heal quickly.
God is with him. As he gets worse, God us with him. Little by little, family will be there, but ZGod is with him. When he breathes his last in 10 years, God will be with him, bringing him home.
He is enduring this for God and family.
You think his family lives him now? Wait 10 years. They will love him like their newborn dad, as God permits this disease.
Photos of the next 10 years, a few years later, will bring gallons of joyful tears remembering him even in this time.
Ask me how I know. Hard work, but work of total love coming. The ones that help will reap the love.
Trust God’s plan. Love as called. God is using the old man to increase his family members’ hearts further, the ones choosing to help him.
God does not waste time or energy, only wastes love, heaping it upon us that love.
Like a child and later an infant, all he can fo is accept love, all family can do is GIVE love.
Funny: near the very end....you know how youngest kids put their hands whereever, no thought....that will freak a son out! But the person is just laying their head down, just happens to be your lap! Not used to an adult, a parent, behaving innocently like a todler.
My ma would yell at me praying the rosary or a hail mary....she loved God so much, but the repetition irritated her lol! Had to just sit and pay with joy silently, smiling. “THAT’S MY MOM” you will say with rejuvenated joy when you see a video nearer the end, when years later you do.
Don’t believe the selfish “I don’t want to remember them that way”
Yea, seeing Jesus getting up from falling again with the ctoss, and you would not want to see the love he has gor you right then, absorbing all yoyr sin? Pure love.
Lord have Mercy!
You mean show business isn’t real?
I am shocked!
Your post stinks!
Terry Bradshaw and Phil Robertson reunite at Louisiana Tech University for the first time since they were both quarterbacks at the school. Phil was QB1, btw.

Sounds like mom isn’t doing well either.
For reality TV, the Robertson’s were some of these best folks to ever come along (conservative, funny, and openly Christian). Your comments come across as those of a bitter old curmudgeon.
