Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson revealed that his father, Phil Robertson was “not good,” months after it was revealed he had been diagnosed with the “early stages” of Alzheimer’s disease.
During a recent episode of Unashamed with the Robertson Family, Jase, his brother Alan Robertson, and their cousin Zach Dasher provided an update on Phil’s health, and Phil’s wife, Kay Robertson’s health.
“For my mom, it’s been a lot better this past week, because she was really not doing good,” Jase explained. “She got an infection from a fall — from a cut that had happened earlier.”
Jase continued to explain that his mom was “still in the hospital,” and added that they had been “dealing with the fact that maybe this is it.”
“And, my dad. You know when people say — ’cause that’s the number one question I get everywhere I go, and they’re like, ‘How’s your dad doing?’ Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth. I say, ‘Not good,'” Jase explained. During the episode, Jase also revealed that Zach “visited both” of their parents, and after one visit, “Zach just lost it.” Jase explained that he realized that “when you’re in these battles” each day, “you kind of compartmentalize everything.”
“I pulled in when Zach was coming out, so he kind of stuck his head in the window, you know, ’cause we had to get him professional care, and I was like, ‘How’d that go?’ And, Zach just lost it, you know?” Jase explained. “I kind of realized in that moment, when you’re in these battles day by day, you kind of compartmentalize everything just so you can deal with it.”
Jase continued to state that they were “doing the best” that they can, and making their dad comfortable.

Prayers out to Phil.
Prayers for the Robertson family during these times.
Thank God they have faith that God knows best.
Thank you, God, for Phil’s example.
Please take care of him and his loved ones through this time.
We continue to pray for Phil. I also pray they will find a cure for this disease.
You mean a reality TV show wasn’t genuine in all respects? Hard to believe.
You don’t grow hair and beards like that in one year...
Maybe a year and a half, but don’t forget there are chemicals you can rub on your face that speed up hair growth, and who knows what non-over the counter stuff hollywood has access to
If Phil was in that picture he would look the same. He’s been in the outdoor industry for decades and always looked like he does.
To each his own idea of entertainment, but I never got the fascination with this Reality Series. Maybe interesting as a one off, or a twice a year special feature, but week in and week out? But obviously, they were appealing characters in that family setting. Many folks get to know those characters as individuals.
Prayers for the entire Family. 🙏🙏
FYI
Man of faith
He’ll be fine in due course
Prayers for the Robertson family during these times.
Thank God they have faith that God knows best.
Amen 🙏🏻

What was your former FR name?
And, you FIB ... that pic is NOT from the year before Duck Dynasty began (it began in 2012).
The pic you posted - with your hateful FAKE NEWS - is from 2001.
Again...what was your previous FR name?
Good call on this being a retread.

You can always tell by their posting history that they know their way around the forum despite being a “newbie”.
I've asked this n00b, before, what their previous FR name was....to no avail.
Phil has been through a lot. I read one of his first books which detailed how he was raised and his struggles. Fascinating guy. I wish him well and pray he is healed.
I loved the show. Religion was their thing. That was fine. But their senses of humor were incredible and there was something endearing about all the cast. Bought all the DVDs and Christmas music and don’t regret it at all. Someday will watch it all again. Aging parents is a strain for all families. They provide a good role model of caring and my best wishes goes out to them all.
