My daughter and I like to travel. We live in Spokane, WA, and are interested in in American history. Thinking about Savanna Georgia, But maybe some other place . I love New Orleans, where my grandmother lived but daughter does not think that's safe now
Massachusetts is a nice, very historical place to visit...terrible if you have to stay :(
I travel significantly. Here are some favorites. Charleston, Savannah, Galveston, st Augustine, Cocoa Beach.
I used to live in Spokane. When I had time I go around the state and look at all the Indian war places. Lots of places to go and see.
Thanks. We’ve been there already. My grandparents lived there.
4-Corners area of New Mexico, AZ, Utah, and Colorado. Where I lived in my youth and fell in love with it. Sadly Colorado has been Californicated and they are trying to do the same to New Mexico.
Love Arches, Dead Horse Point and Monument Valley.
Sequim, Wa. Then from there go all over that area...from Long beach, up the coast and around the Olympics, round Whidbey Island, then the Port Townsend ferry back to Sequim. Thats just one weekend. I’d be all over the PNW. Do Orcas Island and San Juan Island in July and see the Killer Whales migrating. Yup. Then maybe a fishing trip to Alaska.
I’d love to go to Greenland and get away from the summer heat and humidity. Honest.
‘Sadly Colorado has been Californicated’
Just like Arizona and Nevada.
My favorite lake in Kansas for an extended fishing trip
Try Pensacola, St Augustine, Tampa.................
I’ll be going to Edinburgh to attend the annual International Military Drill Tattoo, and from there to Cotswold, both for the first time.
If you’ve never been than yes, Savannah and N’awlins are great. Humidity sucks in the summer but doesn’t seem to bother the locals. From Spokane, go next winter.
Savannah, GA
Charleston, SC
Carmel, CA
Boston, MA
New York, NY
Virginia Beach, VA
Fort Meyers, FL
San Clemente/Dana Point/Laguna Beach, CA
Just to name a few!
Door County, Wisconsin.
“Try Pensacola, St Augustine, Tampa.................”
I live in the Tampa area. Our desire is to leave during the summer!
That’s just a natural occurrence. A random formation of rocks. It’s not built by ancient aliens or anything.
Orange Beach or Gulf Shores AL....
Virginia.
Richmond you can see Tredegar Iron Works where much of the South’s weapons were made, close by is Cold Harbor battlefield a fascinating and solemn place, go east a couple of hours and see Yorktown where Cornwallis surrendered to Washington, historic Williamsburg is close, then DC is close as well
