“Being on time is white supremacy.”
Because what are they always on time to do?
Oppress!
I'm always going to be 10-15 minutes late.
Because that's the correct time.
According to my people.

Woman Fired After Showing Up Late to Work 47 Times Awarded $11.25 Million in Racism Lawsuit
Early is on time, on time is late, late is… forget about it, better if you don’t show up at all.
This isn’t about “white” it’s about “right.” Just doing the right thing out of respect for whoever is waiting for you, self-respect if nothing else.
You have an appointment. BE THERE.
This is just being lazy, poor planning, making excuses.
I once showed up at a McDonald’s right when they opened - I had driven by the night before - “Hours: 6am to whenever”.
“What would you like?”
“A number 3 and a large coffee.”
“Okay - that will be $9.85. The coffee is over there. It will be another 20 minutes for the sandwich.”
“Huh?”
“We just started the griddle and it takes awhile to get warmed up.”
“Um - no thanks. And by the way, when you say “Open” it means open for business, not you coming in at 6am and getting things ready.”
I don’t mind beef jerky and a cashew bar for breakfast, but...
Early = On Time
On Time = Late
Late is unacceptable
Whoever the [BLEEP] you are!
I worked with a guy that one time said, “I hate getting up early to be at work on time...”
Then I can say being late is black people supremacy by showing complete disregard and respect for people they are meeting.
Next up she’ll be whining that she gets charged when she is late for her hair and nail appointments.
So being lazy and tardy is a ‘black’ thing I guess?
Just those things that contribute to an orderly society.
You’re certainly ‘on time’ for the next month’s EBT card, though! AMIRIGHT?
My Dad was a STICKLER for being on time. (Navy Man!) When I was a teen, he charged me $1.00 per MINUTE if I was late getting home from a date or a night out with girlfriends.
‘A Buck A Minute’ is a lot of cash when you were earning $2.50 an hour back in 1976!
I caught on fast. ;)
Lateness is just plain RUDE. It shows the person that is WAITING ON YOU that YOUR time is more valuable than THEIRS.
That is the way I am. I am retired now, but I always show up a few minutes early if I have scheduled appointment incase I get caught in a traffic jam, etc. There are several ways to address this lady's attitude.
1. You are fired.
2. You are only going to get paid for what the punch clock shows at the end of a regular 8 hour shift.
B kmk
My husband may run on Indian time, but he has never thought being on time means white supremacy.
I used to run call centers. Everything in a call center is based on timing. If you constantly show up 15 minutes late, we had a word for that: Fired.
“I spent 30 years running and doing the accounting in 4 or 5 star hotels.”
Oooo! I’ll bet you have some stories to tell! ‘Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars!’ ;)
17 years in the Army, and then 18 years in Retail Management. ;)
Dad trained me up right: In the military, if you’re not EARLY, you’re LATE!
All you on-time anti-Trumpers on here, I’ve seen him late by an hour or more for rallies, “oh, that’s different.” How about SOTU ? etc.I have had many black colleagues routine beat me to work for 40 years. Always willing to stay late to get the job done, too.
In 1980, I got hired off the Civil Service test for Correctional Officer for NY State. My starting salary was a little over $12,000. That was my salary for six months as a C.O. trainee. After the six months, I went to a little over $14,000. I never got to go to the academy until 9 months after I began working. They were short staffed, and I agreed to go to the facility first, then go to the academy later. I chose to do it that way, because there was no guarantee that they would ever call me again, or if they did, that I'd get the choice of facility to go to. I was a 33 year old divorced mother of two at the time, and moved us 3 hours away to Auburn, NY in order to take the job.
The job I left was as a Head Clerk for the County here. My salary was approximately $6200. When I took the job with the State, it was the most money I had ever made in my life up to that time, and felt like I was rich at the time. I did my 25 years and retired. I had 33 years total in the retirement system when I left. With my pension and social security, I'm making about $65,000 a year, just about the same amount I was making when I retired. I still feel very fortunate.
Lock the doors at start up time. Dock their pay. Do it a second time? Yer fired !
This why Africa is africa.
The Civil War ended in April, 1865 but the slaves in Texas were not informed of their freedom until June 19th, so they stayed in shackles for an additional two months. The messenger was on colored people’s time, so the extra two months of slavery was OK.
