A Florida bus driver fatally shot two passengers during an early-hours ride — even though drivers are banned from being armed, authorities said.
The unidentified Metrobus driver opened fire when a fight broke out about someone bringing a bicycle on the bust just before 3 a.m. Sunday in Miami Gardens, sources told the Miami Herald.
It was not immediately clear if the shot passengers — neither of whom have been publicly identified — were both involved in the fight, the paper said.
Both were rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be saved.
“I was just coming from the store. I heard six shots,” a local identifying himself as Wave God told WSVN.

Didn’t have correct change?..................
Not ID'd. Imagine that.
Bringing a bicycle onto a bust certainly warrants a couple of rounds.
Someone needs to ORR (Open Records Request, or whatever they call it in FL) the bus video. If the bus doesn’t have video, the bus system is completely incompetent. It’s 2025, video is too easy and cheap to do, to not have it on a muni bus.
Yeah. Real reputable sources here.
Well now. That settles that!
I am guessing all three men involved, including the Quik-Draw Driver, are black. If the driver was white, that information very likely would have been in the headline, so the reader could not miss it.
Sometimes, just shooting a warning shot into the ‘ceiling’, like in the movies, does not work to make folks calm the heck down.
Never bring a bicycle to a gun fight.
Note to self....avoid 3 am bus rides
I’d wager that most of the drivers working that shift are armed.
There has to be more to the story.
I’m pretty sure there’s a disclaimer on the back of the ticket.
You know the old saying......better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. 😏
Nothing much good happens after midnight
If you can’t trust a Wave God who can you trust?
A white bus driver in Miami Gardens in 2025, on the midnight shift?
I suppose that it is possible but not likely.
I got a real culture shock when I was dropped into south Florida in the early ‘80s. What a zoo.
Today, riding City Buses is not conductive to living a long life. Sooner or later the odds will catch up with you.
I've read Tom Wolfe's Back to Blood...it's not the nice part of town.
It hasn’t gotten any better.

Our nextdoor neighbor that moved in last year came from Miami.....she couldn’t wait to get out.
-
Seriously overcrowded and the “latins” as she calls them all expect Whites to speak spanish not English.
She has to go back occasionally because she still has family there.
-
She dreads going and can’t wait to get back to North Florida.
