“Controversial food”?
What are they serving the prisoners, batter fried caterpillars?
We need that here, in the U.S.
Has some Dem hack judge ordered it closed yet?
anyone who enters here will never get out.
the bodies will really start to stink after a while.
oh well.
I think Mrs Noem showing up in skinny jeans and a snug shirt was genius
Imagine after months/years in this place with only “attention” from other males and she shows up. Almost cruel and unusual!! (Flash back to the car wash scene in “Cool Hand Luke”)
Makes Gitmo look like a 5-Star hotel.
The key to a low crime rate is #1 lock up violent criminals and #2 keep them locked up. No parole. No communication to the outside world, so no ability to run their gangs from inside, and anyway, there are no gangs left on the outside except those that managed to escape the country altogether.
Note that while Salvador’s jail for gangsters is quite harsh, it’s prisons for normal criminals are quite humane.
Don’t have an hour to watch the whole video now, so I’ll ask a question that I’ve wondered about.
Do they have violence inside the cells? I know they typically put folks from different gangs together in the same cell. I’m SURE fights break out. How do they deal with them?
(Did it say?)
I have been looking for a nice vacation spot. I may just have to spend my tourist dollars in El Salvador.
Abandon all hope ye who enter here.......
Thank you for that link. I have zero sympathy for any of them. When one considers what these people did to their society, their fellow humans, the extortion, violence, the murder, dismemberment.
No. They deserve what they get.
The comments are 100% thank you thank you thank you!
Largest most secure prison ever, built in 7 months! However, it seems that a person can too easily be mistaken for a gang member via a tattoo.
And the normal means of execution was by stoning by the community which the criminal also sinned against, which is more appropriate and effectual,as it would provide a better sense of justice by the community, as well as impressing the gravity of the crime far more than antiseptic state execution by some anonymous official. Which thus effects a greater deterrence against such criminality. Even more so when every person found guilty of a capital offense was to be not only put to death but hung/impaled - Deuteronomy 21:22
Stoning was the instinctive, violent expression of popular wrath (Ex. 17:4, 8:22; Num. 14:10; I Sam. 30:6; I Kings 12:18; II Chron. 10:18), and is often expressly prescribed as a mode of execution (Lev. 20:2, 27, 24:16; Num. 15:35; Deut. 13:11, 17:5, 21:21, 22:21, et al.). As the survival of vindicta publica, it was and remained characterized by the active participation of the whole populace (Lev. 24:16; Num. 15:35; Deut. 17:7; et al.) – all the people had to pelt the guilty one with stones until he died. Stonings were presumably the standard form of judicial execution in biblical times (Lev. 24:23; Num. 15:36; I Kings 21:13; II Chron. 24:21). https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/capital-punishment
