The Self-Deporters
The New York Times ^ | March 28, 2025 | Miriam Jordan

It is incredibly hard to deport 14 million people — the estimated number of immigrants in the United States unlawfully. First, the government has to find them. For many, it has to pry them from their lives, their jobs, their communities. That’s why the Trump administration has deported only a few thousand migrants so far, focusing mostly on those it says are criminals. To make a real change, as Trump has promised to do, millions of people would need to leave voluntarily. So the administration is urging them — in some cases, trying to scare them enough — to “self-deport.” The Homeland Security secretary tells them in TV ads to “leave now” or be hunted down. Those who comply “may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American dream.” (This is unlikely, because anyone who has been in the country illegally for a year is ineligible to return for a decade.)

There’s a certain high school I know with about 50 refugee status kids and 10 have left the school so far, so bad sample size but that’s 20%.

These illegal aliens can be motivated to self-deport. Just deport them to random countries that we have an illegal alien deficit with.

We have no obligation to return them to their last suspected country.

Televise the deportation lottery each night. It can be like 'The Running Man'. People can bet online.

"Where's he going? Maybe he'll be deported to a country that speaks the same language, maybe not. He might be going to Afghanistan. Maybe Haiti. Maybe Ukraine. Place your bets online. We'll spin the wheel and see if you're a winner."

"We catch an illegal alien from your country? We're sending ten back. Maybe they're criminals, maybe not. Thank you for playing No Dumping Illegal Aliens in The United States."

Foreign governments will scramble to recall their illegal alien invaders instead of laughing and helping them invade the United States. Illegal aliens here will beg to go back to their own country instead of risking getting sent wherever.

E-Verify...hence the take over
of construction jobs, processing
plants, landscapers, maids,
agriculture, from those who
exploit cheap labor.
The infestation runs very deep.
To ebb the flow, those doing the
hiring need to be held accountable.

I wish they enacted this law.

In the US and over here in Europe. Both would benefit greatly.
