The Self-Deporters
The New York Times ^ | March 28, 2025 | Miriam Jordan

It is incredibly hard to deport 14 million people — the estimated number of immigrants in the United States unlawfully. First, the government has to find them. For many, it has to pry them from their lives, their jobs, their communities. That’s why the Trump administration has deported only a few thousand migrants so far, focusing mostly on those it says are criminals. To make a real change, as Trump has promised to do, millions of people would need to leave voluntarily. So the administration is urging them — in some cases, trying to scare them enough — to “self-deport.” The Homeland Security secretary tells them in TV ads to “leave now” or be hunted down. Those who comply “may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American dream.” (This is unlikely, because anyone who has been in the country illegally for a year is ineligible to return for a decade.)

"(This is unlikely, because anyone who has been in the country illegally for a year is ineligible to return for a decade.)"

NY Times uses that statement to make them feel it really makes no difference.

Yet no one talks about who is really at fault for this inhumane treatment of millions of people, most just looking for a chance.

It is illegal to cross the border, so I have to ask the media,

"Why did you, the MSM, allow it by remaining silent"?

If they would quit giving free everything, housing, food, medical and make it a severe crime to hire them more would self deport.

Miriam can blubber about it because the Spanish speaking invaders don’t threaten her job.

But maybe her safety, which she’ll undoubtedly rely on White males to protect.

14 Million? 30 Million? It’s impossible to tell.

I seem to remember the 11 million number being used for a long time, even back to when GWB was in office.

14 million + illegals have come into the US under the last four years of Biden alone - perhaps as many as 20 million.

I’d also put a massive tax on remittances.

Add E-Verify and you have a winning strategy. If they can't get work their own families will tell them to go home because they can't support them.

Yeah, and it’s even more difficult to deport the 45+ million illegal parasites that are ACTUALLY in the country. But we should still try anyway.

We need to go after the USA employers.

Levy a punitive tax - like 100% - on all payments to illegal workers.

Then, empower all adult USA citizens to sue the employers for the tax money, and to keep 95% of what they collect.

In six months, USA illegal workers would be something we only read about in history books.

Good ideas.

How about a mandatory IRS audit for five years for any employer caught with illegals on the payroll?

The way to do it is simple.

1. End all public assistance of any kind. (they're here illegally. They're not eligible.

2. Crack down hard on employers who employ illegals. People need to be sent to prison for doing so. Managers and owners - not underlings.

3. Offer illegals free transport back to their home countries.

Cut off the money and they'll leave.
