Utah became the first state in the nation to restrict all but a few approved flags from being flown on government buildings and to prohibit fluoride from being added to public water systems. Gov. Spencer Cox allowed the flag bill to take effect without his signature as the deadline approached Thursday evening, while he signed the fluoride bill into law.

When they were debating the pros and cons of adding a compound of fluorine to drinking water, I don’t remember anyone bringing up the question: “Will waterways and the oceans see a build up of the fluorine compounds over time and will humans realize that there will be no way to remove them from the water? And what will the effect be on fish and whales?”

I was too young to have thought of that question at that time.

NJ has very little fluoridated water and the water that has fluoride is in extremely low levels.

The rest of you have been chemically lobotomized by fluoride.

There is fluoride toothpaste and fluoride rinses. Don’t need in our drinking water.

Fluoride reduces IQ and causes skeletal fluorosis (brittleness). It may have some benefit for reducing cavities. I don't want the government involuntarily "medicating" me.

Both myself and my wife were raised with fluoride in the water back in the 60s. Her IQ is 150 mine is less. I’m not an advocate of fluoride by the way.

5 years ago I’d have called you a crackpot if you were worrying about fluoride in the water. Then we moved to an area served by municipal, fluoridated water. FF to Dec.’24 and I’m diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I did some research, and discovered that fluoride inhibits iodine uptake, which is crucial for a healthy thyroid. We immediately installed a reverse-osmosis filter to have unadulterated drinking water. (We had wells for the first 65 years of my life, and no one ever had a problem.)

Fluoride and IQ

Note the sidebar attempts to quantify the IQ impact vs fluoride concentration. An IQ of 150 is so far above the general population that any impact would only be noticed if your social group is rocket scientists.

Fluoride in water and toothpaste can strip the iodine from your body. Brominated additives can as well. You can restore the iodine levels with Ioderal 12.5 mg available from Amazon.

Utah is the first state in the nation to enact such a restriction on flying flags in government buildings. Approved flags include those representing the United States, the state of Utah, official flags of other countries, municipal flags, military flags, Native American tribal flags and flags representing universities or public schools.

Flourine and flouride are not the same.

“Fluorine is an element, while fluoride is an ion derived from fluorine. Fluorine is a reactive gas, while fluoride is a stable ion. Fluoride is commonly used in dental care and other applications, while fluorine is primarily used in industrial processes.”

I’m in that same 3% standard deviation cohort as jordan’s wife, and I did notice my rocket scientist acquaintances smiling in amused derision at my flouride diminished efforts. If only I’d drunk distilled.

I have to giggle a bit. I was doing a contract for a Florida government entity. My boss was an actual rocket scientist. He designed the ring that connects two stages together and is snapped using explosive bolts. A short section of that ring was on his desk.

Fluoride and bromine found in some sports drinks will strip the iodine from your system. Ditch fluoride containing tooth paste, water sources and polluted sports drinks. You can restore your iodine levels with Ioderal 12.5 mg tablets available from Amazon. It will take time to displace the bromine and fluorine and restore normal enzyme function.

Checkout Brownstein's Iodine book.

From RFK’s Telegram thread:

Thank you Lee Zeldin for joining me in Utah Monday. Utah has now become the first state in the nation to officially ban fluoride. I also celebrated other MAHA legislation in Arizona including removing harmful chemicals from school lunches and eliminating sugary sodas from SNAP waivers.

I look forward to inviting every Governor who passes MAHA legislation to come celebrate with me at the White House this fall.
