As it turns out I have a Ferrari F80 on order for delivery in June. This tariff war business is now hitting close to home as I've already pre-paid the $3.5M and Ferrari's telling me they won't deliver until I shell out this additional $350K additional charge.

I'm now thinking I'll just have the car shipped from Italy to my Summer villa on the French Riviera to avoid the additional expense.

I'm now asking my fellow FReepers to help me out...should I cancel my order for the Ferrari now and get a refund, or should I go ahead and remit the additional $350K in extortion money?

So instead of $240,000 it’ll be about $260,000.

Damn, that breaks the bank. Maybe next year.

My guess is if you look at the net and TOTAL costs, both options are going to be equal.

Don’t look at just one part of a system.

“For the limited edition F80, which starts at more than $3.5 million, the increase will add more than $350,000 to the price tag.”

Dang, and I thought the F150 was expensive.

That design looks weird to me. Not exactly the more beautiful ones Ferrari has released in the past.

Even with a 25% tariff on imported cars to our Nation, because of the tariffs imposed on American cars , they will still be more expensive in these other country’s. They refuse to be competitive and they can scream all they want about Trump. To bad.

Why not, instead, buy a used 1971 Dodge Colt? It would save you some money.

If you can afford a Ferrari, 10% is chump change.

Like kids say, “seriously?” LOL.

You got me. Better than the BEE.

Why not set up a go fund me page and solve it that way?

So they’ll eat 60% of the tariff?

Well, if I’ve ever heard a more deserving reason to set up a GoFundMe, I can’t recall it.

That will just raise the tariff amount they will pay. Go for it.

People who are going to buy cars like that will have no trouble paying an additional 10%

It probably won’t hurt Ferrari. The people who buy them have money to burn anyway.

A Corvette ZR1 might be a nice alternative. It lists for ~$174K and has over 1K HP.
