No need to do all of that.
All you need to do is go to your breaker box, pull our two 240 volt breakers and replace the breakers with stacks of copper pennies.

This is a standard common-sense type of list of suggestions but since the actual cause of the fire is not mentioned... it is fairly safe to assume that none of the items on the list had anything to do with this fire.
