If peace is on the way, why are they feverishly preparing for World War III? It appears to me that NATO countries are convinced that something really big is coming. Is there something that they know that they aren’t telling the rest of us? As I discussed yesterday, things in the Middle East are really heating up, and the conflict in Ukraine has reached a very dangerous stage. If negotiations with Russia fail, both sides are likely to significantly escalate matters in a desperate attempt to win the war, and the Russians could come to the conclusion that a final showdown with NATO has begun. We do not want the Russians to view the conflict in Ukraine in those terms, because they are already extremely paranoid and it wouldn’t take much to push them over the edge. Unfortunately, NATO countries continue to do things that will raise tensions instead of easing them. They are talking the way they are because, in order to increase their military spending, they are going to have to cut social services. If they scare everyone it will make it easier.
I believe the globalist elites are doing what they can to usher in WWIII. In their eyes it would solve the overpopulation / climate change problems.

When I was growing up, I remember the press being on pins and needles about the missiles in Cuba during JFK's administration. Not to mention all those Civil Defense drills in school.
Today is another example of history not repeating itself, but rhyming all too vigorously.
All this noise about NATO re-armament could simply be reflecting the European expectation that the US is going to effectively pull out of the alliance. They’re telling their population that it’s because of Russia, but it may simply be that VP Vance’s speech really shook them up even more than was originally reported.
The EU has hundreds of billions of Russian money under its thumb.

I think there's a lot of truth in what you wrote.

I think you are largely right. Europe will cut social services, raise taxes and largely pocket the savings in Swiss bank accounts. There will be some military spending and armaments parades. The People will feel relieved.
The strongest argument for peace is, paradoxically, preparing to go to war, exhibiting the posture that it will be far more costly to actually engage in war.
Vigilance is the price of liberty. If the EU finally gets the message that preparation for defense is the best social program that any nation may engage in, perhaps they will then do the right thing.

We will get dragged into WW3 just like we got dragged into WW2 even though the US people were against getting involved.
