Disney's live-action 'woke' remake of Snow White is shaping up to be one of the iconic franchise's worst-performing movies in recent years, according to initial box office figures.
Snow White has been mired in controversy due to comments from its star Rachel Zegler and the absence of the iconic song 'Someday My Prince Will Come.'
The first results from theaters have been revealed, and they're not great.
The movie made just $3.5 million in Thursday previews and is projected to earn a disappointing $45 to $55 million during its opening weekend.
That places the film below Disney's Little Mermaid remake, which premiered in 2023 and made $95 million during opening.
Disney's 2019 Dumbo remake made $2.6 million in previews and profited a total of $45 million on opening weekend.
However, Dumbo only required $170 million to make, while Snow White cost over $250 million, excluding marketing costs.
Despite the underperforming figures, Snow White did rank higher than Disney's Cinderella remake, which only grossed $2.3 million in previews.
The film has also failed to impress critics, clocking in at only 44 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
A review by Daily Mail's Brian Viner gave the film a pitiful two stars, calling it 'a painfully muddle-headed affair.'

Well, the lead character in the 2025 version don't need no man, so why would she be singing about it?
Any USAID/other monies involved in making this and other brain-washing/leftist-propagandist trash?
One critic stated that he was shocked at the difference in Snow White's physical appearance and demeanor between the original scenes and the retakes. Several have stated that the overall product seemed like three different movies had been spliced together, the sign of a production that didn't know where it was going and was reacting to negative reactions from the numerous test audiences.
I am weird because I do not care about spoilers, I like to see how they get there from here and if I know where they are going it does not bother me.
However the rest of the family hates spoilers with a purple flaming passion so I had to look around for a review who was honest and did not give a complete run down of plot points and I found him.
I also do not mind spoilers (except for certain reality shows that I watch).
The rest of my family usually hates spoilers. LOL!
Heh, pretty much.
And Disney has learned nothing. Their Shareholders recently voted to continue their DEI Corp. ways. That would be
