George Foreman, heavyweight boxing icon and business entrepreneur, has died.
He was 76 years old.
His family announced the news on his Instagram page on Friday night.
“Our hearts are broken,” the caption read on the post. “With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.”

We still have one of his original rotisseries and we use the hell out of it making turkey breasts all the time. The wife and I are hoping it can make it to the finish line with us. So far, so good. Best appliance we ever bought.

RIP, Big George. He went from a scowling menace to a lovable teddy bear. A great boxer who thrilled us all with that unlikely comeback in his forties and second heavyweight crown. What a character!

“I liked watching him do his later year fights, what a wallop he had.”
I remember Foreman’s last fight. He fought some guy who literally ran from him for ten rounds and the judges handed this runner the win. Could not believe it. They must have given him the win for being a track star.
