A massive explosion of ammunition triggering a giant mushroom cloud today hit Engels-2, home of a military airport for Russia's nuclear strategic bomber aircraft.
Ammunition warehouses crammed with suspected missiles and a military-linked aviation fuel oil facility were hit and ablaze in the Ukrainian blitzkrieg, and there was damage to a hospital from falling drone debris after it was downed by air defences.
Massive secondary explosions of ammunition were reported from the strike with dozens of residential properties nearby suffering damage, and smoke visible from more than six miles away.
After the detonation of the ammunition store in Engels-2, debris scattered more than three miles from the exploding missiles, say reports.
One theory is that a new supply of Kh-101 missiles had arrived at the airbase on an Il-76 transport plane, and that Ukraine had intelligence about it. At the time of the explosion, three Tu-95MS and two Tu-160s strategic bombers were at the Engels-2 airbase.
An urgent evacuation of civilians 'for safety reasons' was reportedly ordered and the closure of schools in the area, including Saratov city after the 4am attack.
Engels-2 is a major base for Russia's Tu-95MS and Tu-160 aircraft, and warehouses nearby are believed to store deadly Kh-101 and Kh-55 types missiles among other weapons.

Russia is building new Tu-160s they are the largest bomber in the world , while they look like a B-1B they are larger by mass and carry weight plus mach 2 capable. Russia is building 50 more of them and modernizing the 1980-90s ones. They are a huge missile truck. They got 3 new ones since 2023 and 5 more are being delivered by 2027. If the Ukes take out strategic weapons systems I would fully expect Russia to use tactical nuclear weapons in response as a warning to everyone else. It would be foolish for them to hit the strategic arms of Russia that’s a clear way to get nuked.

Pin prick atracks. In 5 weeks it will once again be tome to renew attacks by Russia on Ukrainian energy. 30 days was the agreement. Last week was the last devastating round, and every 4-6 weeks Russia hits them. Putin actually conceeded nothing given the historical timing of these attacks.

If one wonders why the left are now the war hawks it is simple.
Europe is mostly in the camp of the new world order in the vision of Soros and the World Economic Forum. The European Union has become Marxism light. Recently the EU removed the choice of the people candidate from running for office in Romania. It was the usual attack of right wing Nazi extremest false accusations.
Putin is a barrier to the vision of the new world order and thus a unified attack of the left against Putin. This is the same reason the unified left attack Trump.
I am not an admirer of Putin in the least. I am a great admirer of Trump.
Narrative control, maintaining and finessing, has been a feature of this world for sometime now. Propaganda is done by all governments, for that is was it is. Ukraine's is no different, and when looking at corruption and more, the argument that they are "better" than Russia is like arguing that the Crips are "better" than the Bloods.
When offered a debate stance of "either-or," many times the best response is "neither."
The idea of a proxy war is for each side to have a proxy country at battle—not for one country’s proxy to bomb the bejesus out of the other country.

Trump attempted to convince the Euros NOT to trust the Russians and he was right. What has changed that the Russians are now trustworthy?
