Randi Weingarten deserves the fury of parents across the nation

American Federation of Teachers honcho Randi Weingarten’s sudden outrage over Team Trump’s plan to abolish the federal Department of Education is simply about losing her own power and influence — not any risk to the kids.

America’s “competitors — and adversaries — are no doubt cheering President Donald Trump’s plan to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education,” Weingarten asserts in an MSNBC column, pretending the DOE “helps give all children in the United States access to the great public school education they deserve.”

Nonsense: Few kids in America have “access” to “great public school education”; we lag our peers badly in international testing.

“A gutted department would mean fewer teachers, more crowded classrooms and increased mental health and behavioral challenges for students,” she lies.

“We’d most likely see increased absenteeism and decreased graduation rates.”

I prefer to see criminal charges against Randi. Purposeful destruction of children’s live by this evil monster and her vile union.

Wiengarten shows the exact same single-minded, gangster-type attitudes as the industrial union bosses we saw in the 1960s and 1970s:

Years ago I was prepping a conference room at a mid size city and overheard a teacher's conference speaker in an adjoining room.
I was surprised by the hostility of the speakers. There was nothing said about the "good of the children" or anything else except increasing the benefits, control, protection of the teachers.

Actually, America's “competitors — and adversaries — are no doubt cheering at how Weingarten and her evil gang have managed to destroy American educational levels while enriching themselves.
The vastly better educated Chinese are no doubt laughing at America, as they continue to make huge strides in technology and everything else.
Every effort must be made to destroy the American Federation of Teachers who are corrupt, incompetent and destructive.

Years ago a local radio talk show host used to have the teachers union president on his show. During the course of the conversation an issue came up and the host said that would be bad for the students. The union president laughed and said when the kids start paying union dues he’ll worry about them. Until then he didn’t give a damn about the kids. The guy was not kidding. He really didn’t give a damn.
