Donald Trump will invite Volodymyr Zelensky back to the White House after Ukraine agreed to a proposed ceasefire with Russia.

Speaking to reporters following the talks, Mr Trump said: “Ukraine. Ceasefire. Just agreed to a little white ago… Ukraine has agreed to it, and hopefully Russia will agree to it.”

Asked whether Mr Zelensky was invited back to the White House, Mr Trump said: “Sure, absolutely”.

If Zelensky wears a suit, as many of us hope he does, he's going to get asked about it, it's inevitable. What he should say is simply now is the time for statesmanship. The media will want to keep it going to pick at the scab, but that should take care of it.
