An older article from 2023. To me the absolute, most like the 50's candy fruit and nut egg comes from Philadelphia Candies. https://philadelphiacandies.com/products/fruit-and-nut-egg-dark-chocolate-8-ounce?_pos=9&_sid=498fdd7c9&_ss=r

Its good to revisit memories once a year...

No. This is wholly wrong.

Easter is about Christ’s resurrection and victory over death. Jesus is The Bright and Morning Star.

Everything else melts in in significance like a candy bar left in the radiance of the Son.

Chocolate is a year round thing...

Love the Hot Cross Buns that show up at Easter...and the special breads.

Used to be an independent chocolatier we would get Easter candy from. I waited all year for that, it was pricey. But that was 20+ years ago since they closed.

I’ve kinda committed in the last few years, to only buy chocolate for very special occasion and it has to be quality, not supermarket/drugstore mass produced types.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Easter Treats
You need Silicone molds shaped like eggs to make these.

Ing 8.8 oz fine-chp milk chocolate, ⅔ cup smooth p/butter ½ cup conf 1 Tb+1 tsp graham crumbs ¾ tsp vanilla 1 Tb+1 tsp unsalted butter

Instructions combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, graham crumbs, vanilla, and butter. Put filling into a piping bag and cut off tip. Use a paintbrush (only used on food) to brush a layer of chocolate into the mold. Make sure there is solid coating so that the peanut butter filling does not leak out or show. Once the chocolate has set, fill the mold with the peanut butter filling.

Leave a small gap at top of mold to cover w/ a 2nd layer of chocolate. Scrape top of mold to get a flat bottom when done. Let chocolate set completely and then remove them from mold.

Yes it is! I remember how exciting it was to hunt Easter Eggs or eat through an Easter Basket. My dad was an LCMS pastor; and, he figured out ways to bring Gospel Messages to the kids using those things as props. He was actually very good at handling such symbolism.

His Christmas Pageants were a big blast. They were elaborate and well choreographed, even with the really young ones.

As long as they are real chocolate they’re going to be good. What’s the point of rating them? It’s like trying to decide which of the Victoria’s Secret angels was the hottest (that is, back before they hired trannies, fatties and weirdos).
