Byron Donalds says Andrew Tate, brother not welcome in Florida

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) said Andrew and Tristan Tate, two social media influencer brothers accused of operating a human trafficking ring in Romania, are not welcome in the state of Florida.

When CBS News Washington Correspondent Major Garrett asked if the two were welcome, Donalds said, “No, quite frankly not.”

“Because if you listen to some of the dialogue, I find it to be demeaning and disgusting, it’s not about being an alpha male, it’s not about being a strong man, what they stand for in my view is something totally different,” the Florida representative said during a Tuesday appearance on the network.

Earlier in the segment, Donalds said he supported the state attorney general’s decision to launch an investigation into the brothers who abruptly arrived in the state last week.

“I think those allegations have to be fully investigated, and then we go from — we go from there. The key thing is, we don’t tolerate the trafficking of women, or frankly, the abuse of women. We do not tolerate that,” Donalds told Garrett.

“So, if the attorney general finds cause under Florida law to investigate that, then I wish him the best, and I support whatever he’s going to do on that matter.”

The brothers have denied all claims of wrongdoing. Andrew Tate said the investigation spurred by the state’s attorney general was “absolute communism.”

“Absolute communism. I’ve been in America for 5 days. I sat on my laptop and did a podcast. Insanity,” the older Tate brother wrote Tuesday in a post on the social platform X. “I am super disappointed in the United States.”

It's funny hearing that pimp Tate complain about communism in Florida!

I'm liking Donalds more and more.

Byron should just say he doesn’t know enough about them to comment. Because he obviously doesn’t.

I know nothing of Andrew Tate, but what kind of politician is in the business of banishing individuals from his state who has not probably violated any laws. Talk about rigid political correctness. Is he a citizen of the United States?

What kind of virtue signaling is the alpha male Byron Donalds engaging in?

I’ve referred to Pope Francis as the world’s first Islamic Pope before.

If he does not know enough to comment, but opines anyway, he is following the traditions of Free Republic.com. Whose members , myself included, have a long history and tradition of opining without having adequate knowledge. To wit} Commenting without reading the article first.

“Innocent until proven guilty” is not a suggestion

Curious what evidence of a crime does the FL AG have? Or is this prosecution for media attention because the AG has political aspirations?

Donalds is following the lead of Ron DeSantis on this matter and they are both worried about female votes as Donalds will likely face the wife of Ron DeSantis in the contest for governor of Florida next year.

Politics...Politics...Politics...the world’s second oldest profession isn’t that what they accuse the Tate Brothers in relation to...

You’re accusing Donalds of doing metaphorically what the Tate brothers have committed repeatedly in real life. I’ll take the former over the latter.

So how many illegal immigrants with criminal activities on the books in their homeland has Donalds demanded should be investigated and leave?

We do not need to import any more.

So Donalds really wants to ban them because of bad speech?

Why keep making those ‘The Tates ARE NOT WELCOME in Florida!”
if you cannot stop them from moving in anyway.
It was enough when Gov. DeSantiss said the same thing last week, and even he could not stop them from arriving, which they had the right to do.

We live in a fallen world and politics is part of that.

I’m not sure what makes more sense Casey DeSantis or Byron Donalds as the next Governor of Florida.

I don’t live there and I won’t have any say in it.

But the observation is just that an observation knowing this is political warfare playing out.

The Tate brothers have never been convicted of anything and are U.S. citizens.

Let's see Byron Donalds throw out every last illegal alien before even hinting that innocent U.S. citizens are not welcome in Florida.
