I read earlier today that Zelensky already signed a mineral deal with Great Britain. Yet, listening to FOX News the last couple hours, not one show mentioned this.
My question - is the story of Zelensky signing an earlier mineral deal - is that true?
Judge for yourself:

not really a “mineral” deal per se, certainly not an EXCLUSIVE deal, just a very broad framework, that includes a a smorgousboard of things, and emphasizes a bunch of “green” nonsense ...
here’s the actual text of the actual joint UK-Ukrainian agreement, so you can read if for yourself:
not one word about an “exclusive” deal about anything in the agreement, so it’s a total lie that the agreement gives the UK an “exclusive” right to develop minerals, so Shaffer is a liar ... and if it WAS true, don’t you think the Trump administration would know about this, given that the agreement is publicly available in plain sight on the UK government website? ....
the agreement is actually a hoot, because “green” development of this that and the other is required in seven different technological and infrastructure arenas ... since “green” anything is a total loser, this agreement, if actually implemented would cripple Ukraine, just as “green” everything is already crippling western europe in general ...
Zelensky can’t be trusted. He screwed over the US by reneging on an energy deal.
Why would Britain think he wouldn’t do the same to them?
Err. Mineral deal. Not energy.
America shouldn’t make any deals with Zelensky.
I think he’ll be gone in a month in any case.
That lying dwarf, lowlife dirtbag, subhuman POS, will be gone in 30-45 days. Nothing he does or signs, is valid.
All the minerals in the world are not worth sending a single US soldier to Ukraine.
All the minerals in the world are not worth sending a single US soldier to Ukraine.
Not worth the bones of a single Pomeranian grenadier.
The good people of Ukraine deserve better.
I want Elon’s team of geniuses to DOGE the aid to Ukraine.
The Zeepers sure got their TALKING POINTS quickly.
Interesting...
The deal between Ukraine and the UK may not be exclusive, but, as I understand it, the proposed deal between Ukraine and the U.S. is. If that’s the case then Zelensky would need to back out of that portion of his agreement with the U.K., otherwise his agreement with the U.S. wouldn’t be worth much.
“If that’s the case then Zelensky would need to back out of that portion of his agreement with the U.K., “
the word mineral is mentioned only once in the U.K. agreement that broadly covers a large number of matters than U.K. and Ukraine could cooperate on, and “mineral” is mentioned only in the context of the U.K. helping Ukraine develop them, nothing about UK actually GETTING any of the minerals, and certainly the language isn’t such that anything in the UK agreement would have to be “backed out of” ...
perhaps you could read this agreement for yourself before making assumptions about things you don’t really know anything about:
here’s the actual text of the actual joint UK-Ukrainian agreement, so you can read if for yourself:
(i) exploring projects on renewable energy sources and seeking to attract investments of British companies in the development of renewable energy sources;
(ii) collaborating in projects on renewable and low carbon hydrogen production, storage and transport and other renewable gases;
(iii) supporting projects to close mines and supporting a just transition of Ukrainian coal regions;
(iv) supporting development of a Ukrainian critical minerals strategy and necessary regulatory structures required to support the maximisation of benefits from Ukraine’s natural resources, through the possible establishment of a Joint Working Group;
(v) cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and nuclear fuel supply;
(vi) supporting the safety of nuclear facilities, adoption of best practice, and replacement of Russian technologies and nuclear fuel in Europe and other countries; (vii) begin negotiations for an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Civilian Nuclear Energy.
I read it. Why you’re so bent out of shape over people pointing out a possible conflict of interests between the Ukraine/UK deal and the potential Ukraine/US deal is beyond me.
>>the word mineral is mentioned only once in the U.K. agreement that broadly covers a large number of matters than U.K. and Ukraine could cooperate on, and “mineral” is mentioned only in the context of the U.K. helping Ukraine develop them, nothing about UK actually GETTING any of the minerals,
And you see no potential conflict of interests there? No vagueness written into the agreement that could potentially be exploited to favor UK economic interests over the U.S.’s? If not, you’re not looking very hard. At the very least, some clarification of the agreement would be in order. Beyond that, the Ukraine/UK deal mentions securing UK investment opportunities in Ukraine’s energy sector, which may or may not conflict with the proposed Ukraine /U.S. deal. Since the specifics of the Ukraine/U.S. deal have not yet been made public, you’re in no position to declare the two agreements don’t conflict with one another.
Trump wants the USA to PAY for developing rare earth mineral mines in Ukraine.
No thank you, Mr. President.
Greenland has more minerals than Ukraine
