The “Indiana Jones” star received his diagnosis on Friday and dropped out of the awards show on Saturday morning, according to Entertainment Weekly.

My better half and I refuse vaccines. He has heart problems and is doing just fine with basic meds, healthy diet and exercise. I have joint pain, put doing well taking Omega XL. We are both in our 70’s. The best medicine is interacting with two grand daughters…5 and 7 yrs old. That keeps you on your game! I think our immune system is doing great from being around youngsters that bring home every cold, flu and stomach virus from school.
man shingles suck!! I still have a scab on my back from when I got shingles 2 years ago!!! its almost gone but let me tell you shingles is one dreadful disease!!!

I looked up the side effects for the shingles shows.
Not pretty. There’s a lot of buyers remorse among those who took it.
Shingles is treatable with anti-virals of some kind if taken within 24-48 hours of starting symptoms. IOW, if you think you have it, get to a dr, urgent care clinic, or ER immediately.
It was the second shingles shot that really made me sick. My doctor said it was a good thing, that it meant the shot was working. But man, I was miserable. I suppose it was better than getting shingles, though.
Treatment:
- Prednisone
- anti-viral pills
- and a lot of sleep
A shot, not required.
I had Shingles 10 years ago. It’s was painful and lingered for weeks. It’s the only Vax I take, works for me. There are side effects that last for a day. Pain where the shot was administered.
The shingles shots aren't mRna, they're standard old vaccine technology. I'm not going to let the Covid fiasco scare me off of all health care, that wouldn't be very smart.

It is safe and effective. I’m not joking.
I had a very small patch of shingles years ago (in my 40s or 50s) on my abdomen and it was horrible. Horrible, excruciating pain with no relief. Our son had a larger case of it on his abdomen and chest in his early 20s.
I think I had Zostavax after it was introduced in 2006, but I got the two doses of Shingrix after it was introduced in 2017. Shingrix is more effective, with over 90% efficacy across age groups, including the elderly. It provides longer-lasting protection, too. Zostavax was discontinued in the U.S. in 2020.
Believe me, you do NOT want to get Shingles. Get the vax.
I have had both the herniated disc with sciatic pain and shingles. There is very little difference in the pain. I have also had four children. I’d rather have a baby.
Please, get the shingles shot. I got the shot about three months after the shingles were gone, and the second shot a few months after that. I have had no adverse side effects. This was two years ago.

my personal experience was that i got sicker than dog with the first shot and swore i would never take the second one ...
i regret taking the first one because i had already had the Shingles and foolishly believed several doctors who claimed that Shingles infection didn’t provide good long term immunity, whereas the Shingles vaccine somehow did, which after subsequent study made no sense to me ...
of course, these are the same doctors who also swallowed the lies from the FedGov that the covid mRNA vax was safe, 90% effective and wouldn’t leave the site of the injection ...
so, it’s hard to really know what to believe anymore ... unfortunately, one cannot automatically believe everything a doctor tells you when something falls outside of their narrow specialty, because most seem to just accept and repeat whatever dogma that is issued by the FDA/CDC when the issue is outside of whatever specialty they claim is their specialty ...
I was vaccinated for both shingles and pneumonia prior Covid. The only thing I can recall is that the second shingles shot gave me really bad chills. I would much rather deal with that then shingles.
Shingles is a nasty one.
I can’t remember ever having had Chicken Pox, though I recall measles and mumps; but my doc told me that I could have had it at such a young age that I don’t remember. (Due to divorce and my mother’s early death, I don’t have any knowledge of what may have happened before I was three years old.)
Anyhow, I’m over 70 now and no shingles so far...

There are “old” vaccines and “new” untested vaccines. It is wise to use the old ones.
