Today, Robert "Bob" Unanue, with over 20 years as President & CEO of Goya Foods, is releasing a statement about his status with the organization as well as his plans for the future.
After 48 years of company service, Unanue was informed there had been a vote by the Board about his "employment" as President of the company. As to the nature of the decision and the rationale behind it, Unanue currently has no real answers, noting the company also has not publicly indicated that Unanue is no longer a leader of Goya Foods.

“Unanue is also a dedicated philanthropist, with special interest in the plight of children who are being trafficked. He served as an executive producer of the blockbuster film, “Sound Of Freedom,” and created Goya’s social initiative under the name of “Goya Cares.” Regardless of his current status with Goya, Unanue is committed to helping eliminate the trafficking of children.”
He was a solid conservative in the business. Libreals hated him. I wish him well. GOYA’s future is now dicey.
There has been a vote, but the outcome remains unannounced.
I feel the same way. I’m a big fan of Goya and have been for decades, but if they let Unanue go, I’m gone too.
We continue to buy Goya products.
He’s a Trump supporter and a good man...
We have been buying their black beans and frozen fruit packages.
Bummer.
He is a good man and will land on his feet God bless Bob
Family feud?
Now that he’s gone, Goya won’t amount to a hill of beans...................
Same here. The wife like Goya foods. When I fill her in on this, I’m pretty sure she’ll start buying another brand.
Maybe there’s a place for him in a non-confirmation role with Trump. Sounds like the sort of person Trump is always searching out.
I’ll wait for more info, but if he’s getting kicked out. We’ re out too!
I’m sure PDJT will find a place for him.
Oh Boya, there goes Goya.
Dylan Mulvaney, CEO, Goya Foods.
