Information and its control is the power in political and bureaucratic fortunes. Use that to catch the criminals in politics and unelected bureaucracies. Create ops that are fake. Then go round em up when the leaks come out. Any that get fired have been paid lump sums and compensated for life like Peter Strozk and Alexander Vindman. Even their spouses get compensated and usually promoted.
