US Conservatives often meme and joke about the ridiculousness of disarming the public to control crime. As example the idea of criminals not turning in guns while the lawful do.

Another obvious argument is to point out the fact that other deadly weapons of a much more common nature will still exist, namely knives. Well not so fast.

The leftist labour government of UK is now starting to do exactly that. They have passed at least one “knife control” bill. Banning online sales of long knives (over 22 inches), I dare say “Assault Knives”?

And it’s not just the weird woke super-wimp Starmer. Here is a recent post by their Labour Secretary and MP Yvette Cooper celebrating the new law: https://x.com/YvetteCooperMP/status/1892160521471738207

And not a squeak out of them about who is using these swords.

This is why it is impossible to satire liberals. No matter how ridiculous the satire is, they treat it as a suggestion.

Knife control?
In my world, a gun has beaten a knife every time.

Dull knives saves lives!

Nobody needs sharp knives other than a trained and licensed regulated government official in good standing with local and federal leaders.

Ever try to cut overgrowth (like tall grass) with a dull swing blade? Or a dull machete?

Next will be forks, of course. Who wants to take a chance of being forked by some mad man in broad daylight on a street then taking your wallet to boot! Or, having some drunk try and fork you in the pub. The spouse that gets forked in their sleep. Yes indeed, fork control is desperately needed.

Who needs a knife or even a fork, when one can only eat ‘zee bugs’, like Two-tier Keir and his MFers, er, WEFers insist? Fingers and spoons work for ‘zee bugs’ and for Soylent Green!

Anyone with a functioning hand and a piece of scrap metal can make a knife. Two functioning hands makes it easier. You don’t even need tools... If you are patient, you can grind it out and sharpen it on a brick or on a cement sidewalk.

Brits are silly. British politicians are even more silly than their peasants.

Hey, Starmer…have you and your ilk ever considered criminal control?

Like lock up or execute the people or sub-humans terrorizing your country.

Pointy pieces of metal with an edge are so easy to make and so hard to define and ban.

How pathetic and weak. Knives being banned, speech being banned, most popular baby name is Mohammed, limp wristed leaders, and living under the rule of a King.

They need to look into getting their testosterone level checked.

I thought the UK was already big on knife control.

Just an aside -- Knife control of a already exists to some degree in parts of the USA as restrictions on what may be carried. Limits to blade length, no switchblades, that sort of thing/
