A grieving Texas mother says her 11-year-old daughter took her own life after classmates threatened to call Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE) to have her deported.
Jocelynn Rojo Carranza was found unresponsive in her home in Gainesville, Texas, on February 3 and spent five days in intensive care in Dallas before passing away.
It's unclear how the girl hurt herself, but her family believes relentless bullying drove her to suicide, according to a GoFundMe page.
'The kids said because your family is Hispanic, that they were going to call ICE so her parents could be taken away and she would be left alone,' grieving mother Marbella Carranza told the local Univision station.
The bullying went on for months, according to the single mom of six, with the sixth grader seeing a school counselor to report the bullying.
However, the mother claims she was never made aware of the torment her daughter had been enduring until after her death.
'The school was aware of what was going, but they never informed me,' Carranza, who earns a living by cleaning homes, told the outlet.
'She apparently went once or twice a week to the counselor to report what was happening,' the mom stated.
'I want justice because it was an oversight by the school not to have told me what was going on.'

Why do the schools allow bullying? Buncha cowardly bureaucrats.
I smell Bull Chit
Fault of the school for allowing it to go on.
to the rest of you panty wearing liberals crying "violence is not the answer". a lack of violence from victims, is what makes bullies feel safe.
I’ll say it. Bs. If this is not fake media hysteria then I’ll eat my dinner raw, outside in 10 degrees.
Coping skills are necessary

We just knew this type of story would come out real or contrived.
It fits a media narrative.
It was the same way 60 years ago.
You take care of a bully. Fight dirty.
wait for autopsy…. That there’s no cause of death known yet. They would’ve done a blood toxicology already, kind of rules out overdose.
Smells, for sure.
RIP to this child, regardless the real reason.
I’m a retired urban high school teacher. As Seruzawa noted in post #2, much of the bullying problem is due to lazy and cowardly administrators. In my entire career I worked with only one administrator who always took bullying seriously. That was it. Just one.
All the rest were careerists. Don’t call the police. Don’t suspend anyone. Can’t make the school district look bad.
Defensive violence at one time was the answer. But no longer. A kid who stands up to a bully WILL be jumped by a gang after school - while walking home or riding on a bus. That’s been my city experience, anyway.
So what is the answer? Parents need to document the problem. Send emails. Then file a massive lawsuit. That’s the only thing that will work.
Oh, and get your kid into a charter school if you can.
Takes 2 weeks for a toxicology report
I recently had to wait on one for my son
There is a video on the link. Mom does not speak a word of English in the interview. Makes me think she will get deported now that she is on ICE’s radar for sure.
Of course no mention if this single mother of six, and her kids are here illegally. If they are here illegally, it’s the mother’s fault her kid is dead. Her kid might still be alive if they stayed in their country of origin.
I really don’t think they have anything to worry about. They are mainly after criminals, gang members, etc. Story blown out of proportion. Typical U.K. bs.
If she tries to sue the school because of the bullying and it’s found out she an illegal, five will get you ten she will be on the next plane out.
The solution. GET YOUR KID THE HELL OUT OF THAT SCHOOL.
F YOUR JOB. YOU ARE CHOSING WORKING OVER YOUR KIDS LIFE.
YATA! IF YOU DO THAT.
